Halel (Masked Wizard) (New version)

Mc !
Halel was a powerful mage that once battled teh demons in the 1st great war. Later he was cursed by an old necromancer and he was forced to live with the mask that now he has. He was no longer seen since then but some people say that he appears when the weak are alone and defendless.

It is my first completely done by me concept art!, not simply a colored Blizzard's concept.

Falco: no offence but piss off, and learn how to give constructive critism.

Anyway, it's kinda blurry overall. Smudge gives a sharper look, if used in the right way. Try smudge some parts here and there (like on the.. edge(?) of the cape. you know, the very highlighted part) Also, a good way of dodging parts is to begin with a larger brush and then make it smaller and smaller. (start with very large and finish with very small) Then it should look a bit better. Good luck.. :)

NEVER use smudge for this kind of art. Use the paintbrush, select colours, paint them at low opacity to blend and flow.

zap shuttup... i said it sucks because of the pictuer... i dont know what mainly sucks about it...it just didn't come out right. His cloak is very smudged, and its blurry comared to the rest of the body.. his head looks like a peanut covered in makeup and his body.. err... help me out here? The metal looks decent.. and nice and medival but the shading is a bit off. The shoulder pads have black string all over it..

I did another version, used differet and betters methods for coloring and... Well, what do you think? I made a fat and a thin version, which one is the better for you?

Can you update the old thread, or not post WIP images here. You can get comments in the concept gallery and post final images here.

Both looks very good, the fat one is best, in my opinion.

Great work, nice details!
