Attack Sounds

Im trying to attach imported sounds to attacks w/o useing the "a unit attacks trigger" IM trying to avoid this because if multiple people are attacking, the sounds dont stack, correct me if im wrong. Also because sometimes if a player pulls away at the last moment, the sound is triggered but there is no projectile. Ive looked into the idea useing base sounds like how the rifleman's attack creates a sound and changed that. It works but thats only for 1 type of sound for one type of modle (rifleman). My models are all marines and i have failed to find the marine's base attack sound. I have around 25 unquie weapon sounds so anyway make this work?

You can override existing attack sounds and assign them as you like.

I'm curious WH, how do you do that? I also have similar issues as immoralis.

I know i can overide existed sounds, but thats only for 1 modle like a rifleman, i ahve many heros of the same modle to represent different weapons so taht would not work.

niro you just import the sound you want and give it the same path as the sound you want to overwrite.

Well Immoralis, I think you should either import 'em all or just give up :P

Also, some models have sounds - look at the Death Coil. You could create custom missile models and use sounds through them.

I find it easier to do this:

Open the Sound Editor-->Find the folder containing the sound files you want to replace-->Right click and choose 'Replace Internal Sound'-->Browse for the file on your PC and then click Ok.

It's very simple, and requires no path editing.

All models are the same (marine) i already said this so that method would not work

Oops misread that, sorry. You need to create multiple Marine models which call other unit's sound sets.

Please explain, like i could change the sound of death coil and create a dummy unit or possibly an sfx to produce the sound on attack?
