Is there anyway to check what time it is? not game-time, battle.net time.

unless one were to use the battle.net server time, but getting that in-game is, in itself, impossible.

Taur
well you could ask them to enter the time themselves, but that's pretty much it

What's more interesting is what need you have for a real time event.

well it would be cool to make an game with a 24hours cycle.
It wouldnt affect the gameplay to much (as that would be distrurbing)
but could be cool to add some event you could only do at the evening or something.

Or somebody half-way across the world playing at 3 PM.

You can only do it during YOUR evening. People on the opposite side of the world would have to do it during morning.

Well it would be set to battle.net time then so players would have to go after that, not my time.

you seem to lack the understanding that most people on that side of the world play on northrend, a server with a time closer to theirs.

Tim.
Of course there will still be odd people like myself playing on Azeroth. However if you want to make a map using real-time; it seems perfectly reasonable to have Player1 or a vote set the current time; as long as time is not a key factor in the gameplay.

Well the thing is that the players would have to start the game a specific time (in the evening) to do some special (not really needed) stuff.
That way I would have to trust the host :/

I would set the whole day-night cycle to what the host set it to.
