info on the project below... In ages past, before the second invasion of the Burning Legion, before the coming of the Orcish Hordes and the Tides of Darkness, the dwarves lived in their secluded mountains of Dun Morogh. Through many years, they gathered treasures, knowledge and mastered the art of blacksmithing and stone crafting, as well as many other valuable traits. Under their great home of Ironforge Mountain, they prospered. The High King, Modimus Anvilmar, was growing older however, and the dwarves under the mountain realized he one day, not too long from now, would indeed die. There were three factions, three clans, who all claimed the throne of the High King. The Bronzebeard Clan, traditional defenders and champions of the city, the Dark Iron Clan, sorcerers and wizards, who dwelled deep into the rock, and at last the Wildhammer Clan, shamanistic hunters and warriors living of the peaks and vales of Khaz Modan. These three forces smashed together in a war that begun under the snow covered roof of Ironforge and ended with the charred remains of the Redridge mountains, and the summoning of Ragnaros the Firelord. This project is an attempt to make a Warcraft 3 campaign about these events. You will play as the strong Bronzebeards, safeguarding your city, as the proud Wildhammers, founding a new sanctuary, and as the vile Dark Irons summoning the Lord of Flame. As stated, you will be playing as the three unique clans through three campaigns. Each clan has their own strengths and weaknesses, that you will utilized through the campaign. It is planned to hold four maps per clan, with at least one or two maps completely based around RPG. You will control smaller armies than in regular Warcraft, and there will be a smaller amount of units to chose from. This is partly because of the more RPG styled campaign, but also since we have seen how projects covering themselves in work fares; they drown. We have finished quite a lot of our units, are working on a demo map that hopefully will be released sometime this spring. We do however require help with some key points, especially triggers. Modeling, skinning and terraining are all covered, but we don‘t say no to anyone who wishes to help. Other positions that may be required filling is someone to go through the object editor, someone to think of decent spells, some one to make them, and whatever other qualities you can think of. can we have a link now?:) |
