Wanted! - Modeler needed

Handclaw



Well, okay hello. My name is Handclaw, maybe someone of you know me from Samods... Anyway, you see, I need a modeler. Probably you think 'And why should I even do something?? I didn't see something from you!'
Well, you didn't see something HERE. But I'm working on a project since a lot of time.

The name of it is 'Path of Heroes', and it's a single player RPG.
But just see some of my newest screens: 01 02 03 04 Well, that's enoug for now. Should you be a bit interested in the project now, you should know some things that are important for me:

-You must be able to model in Warcraft 3 Quality! If you can't, than the models won't fit to the rest.
-Geomerging is allowed
-must be able to work with concept art... I make a lot of concept art... trust me, I don't lie
-be able to animate good [We don't need models who look like they have a stick in their backentrance ;P ]
-Bring fun with you! ^^

Of course, if you don't want be a full member of the project, you can just made some models of the concept arts that will follow now:

Tarath Deathbringer is a kind of 'Raidboss' like in WoW. He isn't important for the main story. He's kind of a mix of the wc2 Deathknight (he's more a mage) and wc3 Deathknight (the fighter kind). NO HORSE ;)

Tark, the Halfblood is a character who will join the player. He's a kind of Shaman but with a spear. He is also a meele fighter.

Gnazz is a warlock with a demonic gem on his forhead (should have a glow). He is a enemy who is important for the story line.

This is a Gnomish Machine. An 'Automatic Alchemist'. It's kind of a ward which stands for a some secounds and creates a potion. It's a bit simple model but it requieres good animations so it isn't too boring as it is a part of a spell of one the Heroes.

Those were just some examples, but I still need more. But it would really be nice if someone could help me.

In process of making the 'Automatic Alchemist' - looked like something even I could manage to make ;).

I have finished the model and am currently working on unwrapping it.

As for the other models, I'll see what I can do - I suck at organic modelling though. I'll try with some geosetmerging.

EDIT: Finished the unwrap. I'll slap on a temporary skin.

Ehem... Well, first to you oBs3rv3r: Thaaank you! :) At least someone who helps ^^ I would be interested to see a first picture of it, soon <.< :)

And now to you Jacek: 1. You could have send me a pm to me, as you didn't even help me with this post...
2. Those walls are Chump's Walls, I've got them from here... But you will maybe find it in a map... Maybe 'Two Strongholds' or what its name was...


Anyway, here are 2 new concepts who would need to be done... but one is the newest version of 2 already shown here...

Here you go, sorry for taking so long. I gave up on the temporary skin, as I realized it would take me a decade to make it look somewhat decent (I'm an awful skinner).

I might have been drawing my conclusion about the model being done a bit too quickly since I've forgotten to animate it :I. I'll get to it ASAP

I tried doing some anims in gmax, but it's turned out to be a pain in the behind...

So, I'm sorry to disappoint once again, but I'll have to upload the model with only one (stand) animation. I hope that you know someone who has 3ds max or milkshape, who might want to do some proper animations for the model - I'm simply not able to make something of decent quality in gmax (I need some serious practice). Anyway, the .zip file contains:

- The model (A-A-M.mdx) + the unwrap (which you must skin) (A-A-Muv.tga).

Again, sorry to disappoint you - I've done a quite lousy job :(.

EDIT: I saw that the model doesn't even display in WE, so I re-did some parts of it, re-unwrapped those parts, and did simple birth/death anims. Now it lacks a proper stand animation though. [RE-UPLOADED WORKING VERSION (hopefully)]
