I hate having to do this, but this will probably be one of the most asked and/or noobish questions ever...(believe me, i've tried to figure it out my self...but I suck)... Is there any way to add a custom unit to a melee map without immediatly turning it into a non-melee map? I dont play the map online or anything...I wouldn't even want to (I personnaly dislike online gaming)....All I want to be able to do is add (a.k.a be able to train) some custom units in the 'skirmish' mode of the game... Is there some easy thing I'm not seeing? Or is it really a ***** to do? I know Blizzard made the game hard to 'pimp'...but this ain't funny anymore... |

Just add them, as long as you change it WE will say it is non melee, but it won't affect the map at all when you play it. |

adding custom units makes the map non-mele. no way around this. if you are not playing it online, then it should be a non-issue. just dont remove the default mele triggers. |

Then what makes it so that every I enter the game its immideatly declares me the winner? * the maps do have starting locations...so its not that....im not that stupid :P |

I assume you set-up AI players when to run a game? |

Mabye because you haven't chosen any opponents? Aniway, to make a map with custom models melee, you need to make a total conversion (replacing just 1 model is not worth it imo), like TToR. You have to change stuff in the MPQ and modify the game itself, I think. |

what (i think) ttor doas is simply overwrite the default unit data sheets in the MPQ. (thus changing the units without editing any maps) of course, you dont want to do this unless you really know what you are doing. |
