Stone Elves

I was reading the lore for a mod called Heart of Storms, here is a quote of its story

Quote:

The Shadow Elves, also known as Taen'dorei, are the descendents of the Stonnerians, the stoneworker caste of the Kaldorei. For their habit of living underground and worshipping Shial, the Spider Mother, they were always treated as outcasts. During the War of the Ancients they refused to take either side, and found safety in the depths of the Forgotten City – a colossal maze believed to be built by an ancient race long before the Elves came to this world. The gates of the City were sealed for many millenia and the Stonnerians became completely isolated from the outer world. Being originally few in number and having to repel the ceaseless attacks of monstrous creatures from the deeper caves, their race soon faced decline and degeneration. The priestesses of Shial spent many years in prayers to their idol, asking for mercy on them. The Spider Mother remained silent, but her people have drawn the attention of another power

(disregard the Shadow elves to my knowledge they are made up). Can anyone tell me of the race of Stonnerians or the Stone Elves for that matter. I don't have no books on wc3 so forums like these are my only source?

Whitehorn	Either made up, or an old-tongue name for an aspect of Dwarves/Aqir. Judging by the age, and reference to spiders, it could be an old Nerubian city.

Belphegor666	Yeah you are right, they are made up thoguht the city existed (I guess). It was an Dwarf ancestor city.
