Reducing Doodad Lag

I'm working on a large map with lots of trees and rocks and plants and flowers and other pretty things, and the doodad count is up to something like 5000. Now, when I try to put down trees, even just a patch of five trees takes worldedit about 7 seconds to get its shit together. Anybody know any settings or tricks to reduce this lag? It's really cramping my style, and making it extremely unfun to continue work on the map.

Please respond. Lack of responses may directly cause my rockin' map not to be released. :)

1. kill some trees - clean up massive forrests that no one will see.

2. maybe could use zephirs editor to do all your doodads (check DL section)

id suggest that you delete a considerable amount of trees and replace them with bigger scaled trees. (Use UMSWE)
