Hey guys, Basically, I'm going to try and write a tutorial for complete art newbies, hopefully to spark som more interest in the modelling forums (which have died even more since Draco and his VE attempt). The tutorial will start at conceptual stage, your department, and will go through until getting it in game. Unfortunately though, I'm shit at drawing :) So, what I need is just a couple basic sketches of the same character but from different angles in order to show users how to mount images as backround in Max in order to keep close to the original concept. The sketches, and this is the tricky part, need to be in proportion, 1 from the front, 1 from the side and maybe on from the top if you're bored. It's just a simple person standing that I need, no weapons or anything, I'm just teaching the user how to make simple box models of people. Think peasant without the axe... just a bloke. If any of you can help me in getting this tutorial off the ground it would be greatly appreciated, cheers. DJ |

Heh, I was just thinking the other day to do a modeling tutorial like that. I'd be glad to help, I'll do a peasant after I make teh pirate. Or mabye you can use the pirate? |

That all depends on how complicated the pirate is, I'm trying to keep the whole thing fairly simple. As long as he's human shaped with maybe a couple extra things like a bag, sword... parrot(?) Then it'll be fine. Would be fun to have a peg leg too :) |

Ok, so this has moved far down without many replies so I'm gonna bump it up a bit :P Are there any other possible takers for this piece of work? All due credit will be given. Not only that, it'll be one of the few pieces of concept work that actually gets modelled! |

How about a Dwarf? ![]() |

Nice... Games Workshop pic, yeah? Anyways, what I need is something that isn't in action, the pic on the right is perfect, but the pic on the left he'd need be standing normally. Apart from that it'd be perfect. Anyone want to try and redraw that dwarf standing normally from the side? If so then it'd be perfect. |

TDR, you can if you want, if it's better for what I'm doing it'll definitely get used. |
