My second attempt at modelling
I started making this fella in Wings 3d before I started having some trouble. Anyone know how to make planes or set vertexes in Wings (if its even possible)?
Suggestions, comments?

I know nothing of Wings 3D.

Your mesh looks good and clean, I can't see any ngons and that's good. If you're aiming to smooth this mesh out, try to have as many 4-faces polygons as possible, wich you do have at the moment.

But keep in mind human proportions and don't make ridiculous exagerations like you did with the upper arms. Be more careful, for the feet are intersecting and they usualy point outwards when you stand straight, not forward. See here: Zoom

you made his lower arm way too thick, also his leggs arent supposed to be as bent as that, he looks like an asian schoolgirl with those legs. if your going to make his leggs and arms so skinny why is his waist so thick?

For child bearing of course...

Yeah, nothing more to say than what's already been mentioned, pretty decent for a second attempt though!

Ok, bearing your suggestions in mind I decided to change the body...a lot. I think this is probably warcraft suitable at the moment.

Much better, but the head is way too small compared to the rest of the body.

How many heads tall should he be? The reference I used shows 7.5

Yes, it's 7-7.5. But at your model it's 6.5 times. If you want to put this model in wc3, you could exagerate with the size of the head a little (make it bigger, not smaller).

Ok. You know I thought it looked small myself but when I made the measurement it seemed to be 7.5. I guess I just messed up somewhere.

thats like 1500 triangles, not much wc3 suitable (ppl never trust polies but triangles, a poly can have many triangles, and as much as ur little mind complains, a triangle in wc3 is passed by the same process as a polygon, trust me i program and i know Direct X)

...huh? Can't I have quads in wc3?
The model is 700 quads btw

Any game uses triangles, no quads as far as I know. Quads are good for meshsmooth.

Oh, so whats the best way to triangulate it then?

in 3ds max you just convert it to editable mesh, but in Wings I don't know.

I just downloaded a trial of 3ds max; its quite a complex program to master. I haven't really been able to figure anything out with it yet.
