Anyone have an in-depth explaination on what the "Channel" ability does and some uses? |

Visible - if set to off then the icon for the spell is hidden on the command card (can still cast with triggers) Targeting Image - will show the area effect target image (used with the area of effect property) Physical Spell - the spell can target magic immune but not etheral Univesal Spell - the spell can be cast on both magic immune and etheral Unique Cast - if enabled, this will make only one unit in the selected group cast the spell, instead of all units. follow through time - how much time should the hero channel the spell. disable other abilities - will blacken the command card and prevent unit from doing anything some uses: i have units with a lot of abilities, so i ran out of base abilities quick, channel has a base id property wich allows u to have many channel based abilities on one hero cant use AI: the big down side is u cant give channel to comp players and expect them to use it, u have to use triggers to determinate the best situation when to cast the spell. |

Also, Channel doesn't/can't use a missile art |

Although you could circumvent that lack by triggering the adding and removal of a Sphere ability. |

Ultimately, Channel is designed as a highly customiseable base for triggered spells. |

Either I am completely stupid, or those attributes you mentioned are non existent. If so, please do not say stuff like that as it is very confusing to those trying to glean information, if I indeed am stupid, then please forgive my ignorance. |

They are under "Options" on channel, so yes, you are stupid :D ;) |

Do not forget that using the 'Visible' mode to hide the ability disables the Hotkey as well. |

Noone mentioned that you can choose if it's a unit target, point target or no target spell. Also since the 1.18 patch channel works well in spellbooks and in conjunction with the engineering upgrade. |

O.o Options? Wow I am totally lost. Maybe... is Siphon Mana a channel ability? I thought it was. I can't find any of these options in the editor for this ability. Maybe I am like... drunk or something. I must be totally out of it. |

Set the ability editor to display as raw data. Then do a text search for ANcl Now you definitely have the correct ability. |

Channel? Channel what? I thought you had to actually channel something. You can't just "Channel" can you? Channel Channel Channel! Is Siphon Mana a channel ability or not? I think I am totally confused as to what a channel ability is. |

just do what he says, search for channel ability, its an ability that does nothing (basically you make the effect with triggers) |

"Channel" is an ability that is used with triggers. "Sypon Mana" is an ability tat is channeld. |
