Slasher: Bloody Rise

Slasher: Bloody Rise (will be refered to as Slasher in this thread) is a third person hack and slash mod campaign for Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne.

Me and my friend Dave have been working on this map for a few weeks and finally we decided we were comfortable with showing off the work weve done so far.

The campaign follows our anti-hero Slasher from him doing minor killings for the local gang to finally rising up and taking down the Emporer where he will take the throne.

Dave has been working very hard on the triggers to make this a fun and enjoyable game for thoughs who are fans of the hack and slash genre of games.

Slasher Engages Combat

Terrain needs about a million times more work... I don't really see anyhting special in this, is it supposed to be a FPS?

Third Person Slasher, think the Prince of Persia games.

And yes the terrain DOES need ALOT more work, I will update pictures sometime.

I think a bit more information is needed.

Because right now, all I can tell is that Slasher is a unit with no abilities, is controlled with a mouse, doesn't attack in any unique way, faces absolutely normal opponents, who attack him in a perfectly normal way, in perfectly flat terrain.

With well, a 3rd person camera.

Which... isn't the most novel idea in the world.

Could you elaborate more? What have you guys done?

Sorry I havnt gotten the point through that Dave is making the game so you controll Slasher with the arrow keys and attack by pressing A. And you must continually press A to attack. But with the mouse you target, select special abilitie.

That changes.... a lot.

Arrow keys, letter keys and the mouse?

well you only need to be using two of the features at one time really. moving and casting, attacking and casting, moving and attacking? lol.
