Guest | im makin a map, and i have "Mines" in it (where people dig for gold not the explosive stuff) and I am trying to make it look dark in that area to make it look real. Is there anyway I can set it up so the units in that area are darker than anywhere else, and set it up so its just plain darker in the Mines to make it more realistic???? please help!!! |

In the last orc map, the mapmaker seems to have used boundary terrain to make certain areas *quite* dark. I'm not sure how they made it passable, but it is walkable, since this is where the final scene of Grom and Thrall in the canyon takes place (before the movie, that is). Come to think of it, looking at that map now, there are quite a few parts of that map that are fairly dark. If you extract it and open it, perhaps you can get a sense of what Blizzard did (some of the textures used seem to be pretty dark, and there's a shadow effect used as well). |
