Is it possible to make corpses clickable? Becuase, I know of a way to make them useful for a map idea I got. |

Don't think so :/ But i think you can create a unit, give it a corpse model, and replace any dying unit with it after the dying animation is through. You will have a problem though that most units have unique corpses, so you will have to create an individual corpse for all units on the map. Happy necromanting :P EDIT: Replaces "casting animation" with "dying animation" :/ |

You can make any unit a corse by having him play the Decay Bone animation, pausing him and making him invulnerable. |

Another idea - use the 'spawn' ability, which has an invisible icon by default, to spawn your corpse unit when a unit dies.. |

That'd get in the way. My suggestion, would be make something that can target ground with a point, such as shockwave & stampede. Have triggers check if there is a corpse there are not. I can't remember how, but I know there is a way to get it by point-targeting to look natural... wish I could remember unfortunately. WH's suggestion would be good, except all those little spawn corpses would get in the way, and if you didn't click on a unit, you'd click on a corpse most likely, and if you can't target invulnerable units with that spell, you will have a hard time targeting ground. |

I think there is a ignoreModelClick fuction in the doodad.. thats why u can click on doors etc and not trees, unless the selected unit can interact with the model, ie a peasant. Sounds like a nice idea.. I might find some way to use it. OH I guess another way of doing it is to do something like in surivival games. use corpse as an item model u can pick up. Alternatively u can give the unit a load corpse ablity. (like the meat wagon) and 1 corpse loading slot. (I guess this medthod is more selective allowing certain units to click on corpse.) While we are here I got a related Dumb question. Where do I set the lengh of time a corpse remains? |

Well that seem to have worked... Another ability that can target a corpse without picking it up is cannabilize. just replace the icon and ability.. and check when a unit uses the ablity canabilize. It will be awesume.. click an ability on your character to search a body. and i'll even show the proper message when there is no bodies near your unit |
