Guest | This is just a simple recoloring of the warlock in wc3. Changed the skin to red, removed some extra features through model editing (like that weird thing behind is back) and made pads somewhat smaller. This is done because quite alot of people wanted a red warlock but noone actually did it. anyway, I hate its current state now, so I want to try something new: reply here and suggest what you want to see changed in the warlock skin (slight model changes are possible, particles changing or color too). know that this skin is supposed to be a regular warlock, so not like a uber warlock like archimonde 9so gold is probably off limits) Even if wished desired, I can add certain things to the model if you wish. You want a archimonde with a silly hat? fine, so be it? You want archimonde with shield? so be it. Depending on the outcome of this post ill try to change it and mold it untill it would be quite acceptable, at least...if it is not a simple recolor then =) |

okay, I have a small request... I have done something similar just that I made a orc-tauren warlock (because of the hooves)... think you could attach two axes to his hands? (like the orcs have or something) that's all I need to get him done, and I don't know how I can do that... :bgrun: I have the model ready and all, just need this part... also, if you'd do this, wouldn't the uwv map have to be changed? Pm message me or post here if you'd bother... whatever suits you :D |

Guest | well made it got silver armor or bronze or (etc) about the axes, I COULD do that, but the bitch is that i have to create a new model of a axe, which isnt a problem the problem is uv wrapping it, and senceless to say, I do not have the required tools to do so nor I have the expertise. If you are able to uv wrap it, then I cnan give that dude axes =) |

Aha, looks great Cookie! I think I like the gold armour(sp?) better thou. *Psst* if you don't mind if you can before January 3rd send me all the skins you have created so I can put it up on my site: ModZ, Etc. ( http://www.modzetc.com/new/index.php ). *Psst* |

Cookie, I can make weapon models fairly easily (UV Mapped and all)... the only thing I'm not sure of is what size and position to put them in to be brought into Warcraft III for conversion to mdl/mdx. |

Guest | If I can supply you with weapons that are correctly placed etc, would you be our uv wrapper for wc3campaigns? =P |

Sure thing, Cookie. just provide them to me in either Wavefront object or 3ds format and i'll gladly do the UVMapping for ya. I've been doing professional modelling for years. Once you pick up on UVMapping, it's not the big of a pain at all :) So, yeah, i'll be your UVMapping bitch on one condition: You have to teach me some of those extra tricks you guys have been keeping under your hats ;-) |

Guest | I would say UVW mapping depends on the model in question. I can cope with unwrapping my own stuff, not hard at all, but unwrapping other ppls work, especially that of those that can't unwrap themselves, is just boring. DraX, you are a maya user? I like the app, but max is faster :). |

I've used MAX and Maya. I prefer Max for low polygon work. and yeah, UVWMapping can be boring. Once I've seen all the steps necessary to get some of these models into the game, I'll be able to contribute more than jsut through UV Maps :) |
