Save Game

Ok before you jump to conclusions, hear me out. What I am asking is not about the game cache. Just erase that from your mind as far as this topic goes. What I am asking is this. Obviously it is possible to save a game over B.net. It's possible because you can do so through the main menu. However there is also a trigger which claims to allow you to save a game. I have had no luck with saving a game through the use of a trigger, mostly due to the fact that it then requires you to load a map. What is the best approach to this. I'd like to allow the user to save their game through other means than that of the main menu. Assistance?

Thanks.

I'd say thats definetly impossible. The Save Game thing requires Blizzards signature on your map or something.

then listen to Jazradel's post.

And I never been in bnet anyways. I was using my logic cause it seemed that you were unable to save stuff in bnet. Why the hell do people always annoy with questions about saving gamecache in bnet or why were save codes invented? If you can save in bnet then what the heck?

Saving in b.net only allows the exact same players to continue the game where they left of. Other methods (hero saving codes, and a theoretical game cache save) allow you to restore your progress with anybody, which is obviously superior when you're playing with random bnet people that you won't be able to get together again for a load.

It's kind of like the difference between a massively multiplayer game and a regular multiplayer game.

So even if you could use the Save trigger, it won't matter cause it would require all the exact players to be there.

I guess you don't know what is a joke?

And I did invent todo lists in signatures of this forum.
