darc_Chief here. I'm making a CTF map that involves the use of custom models. I'm taing care of all custom stuff but I need someone to : Terraining - Amon Triggers Beta Testing - Deitri There are four teams, red, blue, yellow and green. Each team has up to 3 players. Beta testing will include at least one person each team. ![]() This is what the terrain should look like. Don't worry about adding colors to the team bases, I'll take care of that. Just do what the picture says please. Triggers needed: Player Respawn, Unit Choosing Trigger and Flag Triggers. That is all I can think of so far. Please contact me if you wish to help me. If I hire you, please add my email, [email protected] so we can get things done faster. Thanks! |

Thanks, and footmen frenzy? Naw! It works like this. 3 players are on each team and they try to steal the flags from other teams. The first team with (player can set value) steals wins the game. From time to time, units are made at the base of your team. So it is kind of a mix between footmen frenzy, dota, and paintball. Thanks for volunteering Deitri, I'll add you to the list. |

Chief, here are just a couple of tips on team gathering. Don't recruit people for the beta testing just now. It's pointless since the map might take a while to get out. Rather, to make things interesting make a competition of sorts. Like asking people to submit ideas for some of the heroes, and the six people whose ideas you're going to use, have them beta test. Also, you'll have more chance of recruiting people to help if you show us what you have done so far. For example, you can start working on the heroes, spells, etc... and show it to us. Because if you just ask for help, and haven;t done anything yet, most people aren't going to want to help you out thinking that you're not dedicated to this project. Same goes for triggering. Finally, about the custom models. If this is a multiplayer map, then you might want to go easy on the models. Anyways, good luck :) |

Damn right dude, your advice kicks hiney. I didn't think of doing it right away by myself. You see I'm involved in a ton of stuff (Bleeding Sun, -Forgotten Wars-, Creep Battles) (Damn, I got myself in a pickle). I have good ideas for the heroes, so I'll begin. Just let me finish the terrain for -Forgotten Wars-. Ok, I'll have to delay this map due to many jobs. I will soon be finished the terrain for -FW- and will then do my current part for Bleeding Sun. Thanks! |

Your doing the models for each hero yourself? What type of heroes are they gonig be based off? Could you go into a little bit more detail =D |

I will be more than happy to help you! Sign me up as a Terrainer! |

Details huh? Sure !UPDATE: There will be 4 teams, there WILL be custom hero models, and I do have some awesome models to use too! Ingame, you'll have heroes to choose from. It'll be a kind of AoS and CTF mixed together, which means that not only players will play, but also computers. And no, I don't do models myself. Though there are some very nice things on wc3sear.ch. I am guessing they will be based off hero models. Well that's that for now. Later! EDIT: According to the current pickle schedule, I need to wait 'till Act I is done and then work on the script. So far, the map is going very good. I am doing triggers. NOTE: Team Gathering closed. |

So far the project is going very well. My good friend, Amon, has finished the terrain and Overload is doing the heroes. After that, Amon will fix up the fortresses and my friend from another school will do advanced triggers. Map will be open for beta testing in about a month. Peace! ![]() |

Those triggers look damn easy! I'm in. I can add other stuff as well, just ask. Credits are given right? :P |
