Hey I'm having this problem with the models i make/use and try to import- It imports fine, but when i try to make a custom usin and modify the model, i use the imported path it ahs available, but w\hen i click ok it changes it to .mdl why does it do this? I think its the reason why my models cant be loaded...(kindof obvious). and i am getting pissed at it for not letting me use the mdx extension! Anyone have an idea of whats goinbg on? Ive done it before long ago and never had any troubles with it until now. |

When the game loads a mdx model it converts it into mdl and that's the thing it uses. editor automatically converts mdx extension to mdl it should not matter unless you are importing a tree model |

Are you sure the skin of the model is present? if its not it tells you the model couldnt load. |

Yeah the first thing i tried to import was some swamp tree model some guy here made just to see how it would look in a game. but in fact it really shows a frigging green and black checkered box... |

What object did you assign the model to? If you assigned it to a tree, remember they have model variants, so set that to 1 if you have only imported 1 tree model. |

It shouldn't make a difference anyway. Make sure your path is right. |

Make sure your path is right and that u saved ur map, closed WE, opened WE, loaded your map and put the models\skins\textures in right path, if u didnt did anything of those then u gotta do them ^^ |
