Dunno what to call it yet, but its my lastest work after a long evil art block. Guess I have gotten better at shading according to one of my friends on DA xD Its kinda hard to explain how I come up with this stuff if that question comes up xD I just draw these out randomly, like the creature is but together peice by peice in my head with random shapes. Kinda like a whacked bizzare puzzle xD His funky power is to psycicly manipulate the chains attached to his body. They all end in blades, claws and other razer sharp owwie weapons. He moves by these chains aswell since he has no legs xD People said it has some predator/spawn inspiration cause of the hair and chains hehe <------ omg yay for pwn smillyHeres my DA account for the curious: http://krewl-rain.deviantart.com/ |

From what I remember, this is basically a monster version of X in ABT |

That's a very hard to read piece. A bunch of volumes not very defined. You should work more on defining the shape of an object. |

mmmm chains. anyways, yeah, it was pretty cool, though i had trouble differentiating from the arms and chains at first and his head seems flat compared to the rest of the body. ![]() |

nice work krewl... Although... It's kinda hard to see everything at once... the eye gets distracted by the myriad levels of detail (not a bad thing necessarily...). I think this piece would actually benefit from having more negative space to counterbalance all the stuff that's going on. If you plan to color this... try to keep in mind key composition ideas such as color saturation and detail. Think of where you want the eye to be drawn to... and then make everything else a bit more blurry and desaturated... if that makes sense. icbm1987 |
