I think I already discused this theme before but now I'm ready to reopen it and really start working on it. Ok here are the sory and basic gameplay. Story: Behold the Aranox. There Undead forces have completely annihilated all living things, and have no way of leaving this decaying planet. In their decadence and decay Undead have made a brutal game to entertain their lazy champions. The game is known as a Warthorn. In Warthorn two or more opposing forces fight each other until the other side has been completely destroyed or some of the quests have been completed (Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Take n Hold...). Basic gameplay - This game has no hero's, no upgrades, no requirement, no harvesting....just FIGHT and tactics. You achive your victory by using runes, good unit mix and terrain advantage. Your enemy can't overwhelm you with units since he can only build certain types of them at a certain ammount due to limited budget.
Unit Description:
Runes there are four types of: -Positive Global - add you a positive spell which adds bonuses to all of your units on map - ie. Omnivision, Unholy Speed, Dark Spawn... -Positive Local - they affect only a AoE near the power Up - Bonus Armor, Bonus Healing, Bonus Speed -Negative Global - same as positive Global but this affects only enemies - Blind, Armagedon... -Negative Local - they affect only a AoE near the power Up - Enrage (enemies attack each other), Lightning Flash (Stuns unit) Enviroment - some special enviroment gives special abilites, like you move slower in water, trees give you evasion, while higher ground give ranged unit more attack damage... (though this will be the hardest and last to implement) Comments, critique,Ideas for runes and modes are more than welcome... ![]() Things I need: -Triggerer or someone fairly good with JASS -Idea Maker for terrain and runes I do terrains some object editing and triggering but rather basic. |

Sure an experienced triggerer and/or JASSer. I'm not using custom models though. Yet. Right now some help with runes/mod suggestions and suggestions to make strategicaly (I wonder if you could post scetches of terrain) good terrain. All units their stats and abilities cept for the Multishot are done. Now I just need to make nice creepy terrain and nice runes. Sure Whitey I could use your help, can you trigger? |

Sure I can. |

Something I noticed is that Selfdestruct used by bugs could easily be abused since the enemy doesn't kill the bugs to just kill everything they send out and easily get lumber, and the other team doesn't get any. Looks interesting. |

Ok I've added my current unit stats. Tell me what you think of them. @Johnfn Quote:

Here's something I thought of for an old Scourge system. It's a bit inspired by Tyranids in 40k - the larger creatures acted as nodes for the swarm. Basicly, your powerful units, such as necromancer, liches - or in your case the Ziggurat acts as a synapses. Essentially they have a regeneration aura that affects nearby undead units. All undead units have negative regeneration - so they slowly degrade over time unless near a synapse unit. |

Cool I was thinking of the same thing though I don't have liches and it would upset my current balans. Tell me the new stats of the units and I'll make them. Or even better PM your adress and I'll send you my current unit tester map (I really didn't anything else cept the units :P ) Also I try using only one good ability for a unit which I find most suitable. And I didn't use any necromansers or simmilar creatures, cause their spawning would upset the whole simplicity of it. |

HA! I already sort of ripped off that idea for my Hero Defence. One species of enemy is the M'Kalish, which come in two types: Swarmers, which are weak and useless, and Hive Nodes. When a Swarmer is near a Hive Node, they get doubled attack and movement speeds. It's quite cool, actually. |

I don't wanna spoil your fun but WH40k already has that idea, so basically you ripped them not me :P To steal my idea you'd have to steal my units and my gameplay. If you do that I would track your IP, hunt you down and castrate you /jk or force you to become my slave whichever I think of first. BTW what is hero defence? |

No, I meant I ripped it off from 40K. I only HEARD about your map this morning FFS! |
