The wicked database errors

Some of you may have noticed that for the last hours we were having some database errors.

To be short *something* caused the server to keep a lot of db connections. I am not sure as to what the cause was. But I removed access from db users to the forum database for a while. And when I readded it the site was working again.

I am not sure if I fixed the problem or if it was a coincidence. I am not sure about the cause either. Don't get surprised if those database errors comeback

It could be that the host was frozen and took ages to process queries so connections never ended but it was eventually reset

Ten bucks says it was caused from me making the monthly backup. I'll talk to you later tonight about it, Vex. Thanks for fixing it while I was gone.

On normal situations making a backup would only take one connection out of whatever the limit of connections is

Since when do our MySQL situations work under 'normal conditions' ? ^_- If we need to we can close down Wc3c for 12 hours and see if it happens again when I make a backup.
