my first time usign different color lights and abstract shadows and such, please post comments, mannoroth didn't turn out at all how i imagined, the orcs are pretty good tho... thralls on the left and grom on the right

Digital painting is a tool, and it should be reserved after you have taken some time to glance over the basics. That anatomy is... not anatomy. There are no forms, there is no texture, there is no shade. Either practice drawing or just call yourself an abstract artist. The choice is yours.

It's funny how people in lack of words start saying things about your work or your physical appearance (wich is a very low thing to do). For your general knowledge, one can know good theory and draw like crap or can draw very good and suck at theory. LightKitar knows a lot of theory and is also a good drawer. falcoknight, your lineart is good, though you need anatomical knowledge and you should listen to advice, even if kitar often gives agressive critique, but at least it's good.

hes just been pissing me off lately, expecialy against whats-his-face... tiki or sometin i dunno, anyway, i know my anatamy, my line art is the thing thats bad, or perhaps my scanner, i know i need to work on it alot more, which i am, but hes not helping, at all..

The only reason im pissing you off lately is cuz lately is the first time ive given you crits. I wasnt even being agressive, im just not gonna congratulate you on something that has so many problems.
Im going to say this yet again, because you people completely ignore everything I say and then just bitch and make the same mistake again. Although this is probably wasted energy considering youll just look at the fact that I made my post, skip reading it and start up on writing your next comlpaint.
People look at crits and just automatically assume its a complete insult and need to start wailing about it. Falco, youre so obnoxious in your attempts to draw you cant even comprehend the idea you might not have good anatomy. Guess what, you dont. Im not saying you have no potential, im not saying you have no talent, im saying you havent made an honest attempt to study anatomy and it sticks out like a sore thumb. You took up a pencil one day and you just started drawing. Great for you. Now practice it. Anatomy is a fiend in art, and it is something you can practice your entire lifetime without ever truely mastering it. You need a foundation to do good art and you have none. Stop telling me im being mean, stop telling me youre fine, you havent made a single attempt to fix your errors. Anatomy isnt something you learn just by drawing it over and over from memory. Studies, practice, decades of work. Most of the time itll be a pain in the ass but such is the way of life. IF you continue to just be deaf, blind and dumb to your mistakes you wont get anywhere.
Either your scanner is screwing up your proportions, placement, perspective and muscle groups or maybe your anatomy isnt perfect. The sooner you grow up and deal with it the sooner you can go back to improving. I honestly dont know why I even bother though, you going down the path youre going now just means less competition for me. Cheers.
