Bonus unit Max HP

I'm making an AoS and I want all the creeps that spawn for each side to periodically have their max hp boosted by 50 or 100 or something. I can only figure two ways of doing this. One way I thought of was to make numerous units with the hp increased to what I want and then just making triggers to switch which unit it's spawning. The other way was to make a trigger(s) to add all the spawned units to a unit group variable and then increase there max hp every single time they spawn but I think that may cause some lag problems or unnecessary leaks that could be avoided.

What I'm asking is how to do this the most effecient way and maby a little nudge on how to do it because when I try to think of the best way to do it I just hit a road block. And I don't want to flood my map with unnecessary junk units and triggers that could be easily more neat.

Use the "Item bonus health" ability from the pendant of vitaility, simply give it to your unit, and he has bonus hp!, then you can use mutiple levels of it to easily change the hp and great thing about it is that it has no icon! GL

On a different note. If i give a non-hero unit a tome of health (+50 hp), will it work?
If i give it to a non-hero unit with Invenotry(Hero) ability, will it work?

If you give it to an "Inventory(Hero)" unit, it will either work or crash WC.

You could also try using upgrades...

Yes that works.

Just use upgrades, messing round with abilities is just stupid, owing to the fact that you would need to be increasing its level for dozens of units.

upgrades seem more stupid when you would want to revert the bonus.

Well upgrades cant be unlearned, or has blizzard finally changed that?

Sadly they can't.

However, there is a trick you can just use invisible units as upgrades and create them when you want the 'upgrade' to be enabled, save them somewhere and remove them again when the upgrade should be unresearched.

I thought it was to increase the creeps power as the game goes on? if so then upgrade is more reliable, since you won't need to revert will you?

Item is way better in this situation, in my opinion. The other thing was just related to the fact that researches can't be unresearched.

Maybe try changing players handicap?

Handicaps will also effect buildings, which he may not want.

Maybe try messing with Masonry Upgrade / War Animals (?)
