I've just switched the mobs on my RPG map from neutral hostile to a computer player, but when one of them is attacked, their friends come running to help from a very long range (at least 800). Each unit on the map has an acquisition range of 300 and attack ranges of 100, and even though my "call for help range - creeps" setting in the gameplay constants section is only 100, I'm put my money on that setting being about neutral hostile units only. Although I'm about to test a trigger that will tell their units to stop if they've issued an order for an object with a distance that's greater than 400, I'd really rather not have to mess around with triggers like this to fix the problem if I can help it. |

Getting desired effects in we is ALL about fiddling with triggers :P (and btw im 90% sure that it is the AI of computer players, when they get attacked they will send nearby units to help) so basically that setting is for neutal mobs. About the trigger I think that trigger, as wacked out as it is, would probably fix that specific problem.. but personally I think it would hurt the map overall if in some instances you wanted the comp to band together. Yea I wasnt much help. srry... but you could always put the comp guys furthur apart.. in the rpg im working on im using the cpu as mobs and they only join in a battle if the range is like... 600-700 (guesstimate) |
