Forgive me if I sound cheap, lazy and/or whiny, but the entirety of modelling, skinning and mapping, including downloading them from here seem extremely complicated. For instance, I went to download a model pack, when I did, it had it as some sort of .RAR file, which my computer couldnt open, and I cant even find. Or even saving things as .BLP, which I cant seem to open, or even find the program too.....is everything in map creation just plain complicated to the point of nera-endless web surfing for the right tools before you can even start, or am I missing something?(or maybe its because Im terrible at the whole thing... ) |

I know what your talking about. I've seen them in .rar but I can open them fine. Usually, maps are saved as .w3x but other than that, I can't help you. Perhaps if you changed the way you saved them from .rar to .w3x if that's even possible. Sorry if that doesn't work, and we all suck sometime . |

OK, some file types. .rar is an archive file - much like a zip file. You can download winRAR from, probably, www.winrar.com .blp is an image file that is recognised by Warcraft. You can download various viewers, particularly Warcraft 3 viewer. Click the tutorials button for guides on importing, or pose questions here if you're still lost. |
