in my cinemetic, i hav a part where 3 footmans attack a building for the whole cinemetic and where all the camera views go, it keeps hearing the attack sound effects of the footman's swords hitting the building. how do i make it so the attack's of the footman have decreased volume, and what distance it takes for the sound effect's to fade out? is there anything i could do for a trigger or possibly in the unit editor? here are the sound specifications for the footman's attacking status: Sounds > Internal > Sound > Combat > MetalMediumChopWood1.wav Sounds > Internal > Sound > Combat > MetalMediumChopWood2.wav Sounds > Internal > Sound > Combat > MetalMediumChopWood3.wav the building has the armor type of 'Wood', so i am guessing that this is the correct format for the footman's attack sound effects to be for attacking 'Wood' type armor. So can someone help me? |

1) Don't double post 2) 2 hours is nothing, try 2 days 3) this is not a trigger question |

The object editor has a field for units, like "attack 1 - sound", set it to none. |

i dont want it to just be nothing. i still want the attack sound's but i just want the sound's to fade out quicker as you move away from the area in which the footman are attacking and when you go to view somewhere else on the map. also, decreaseing the volume of the attack sound's would be nice to. so can someone help? |

You can set it to nothing then use trigger to play it with lower volume. |

good idea on reviving an over a week old thread that didnt belong in this forum for the first place and asking about a different question instead of starting a new thread in the right place |

Trigger: Sound - Set Volume Channel That should reduce the volume for any unit attacking any other unit. As for changing the rate at which the volume decreases with respect to distance from the camera, the only solution I can think of might be looking for a value in the game constants. Although I'm not sure why you'd need to since the settings Warcraft uses already seem realistic enough. If you don't want to hear them at all just set the Combat Sounds channel to 0%. Also, it helps to read the rules and be patient even if nobody has answered your question for two hours. Regardless of how you might feel disrespected it's still required that you show respect to others in the forum. |

How about you post in the right place and not double post in every thread you have made and spell things right. Also, spend more than 2 minutes thinking of a solution and before giving up and posting in the wrong place and bumping your own thread whenever you feel like it? There is a search button you for triggers you know. |

ok. but are you positive there is no way to change the distance of the sound effects? if there is no way, then i guess my problem is solved. Quote:
