Dawn of Darkness - The Prophecy Fulfilled

Alright, so about a year ago me and my buds came up with some sort of idea. It was originally the product of an overactive mind on too much coffee. I had wanted to make it into a campaign, but at that point I was uber-noob with the WE, so I set it aside in favor of an AoS, which has now fallen through due to lack of hosting.

So anyway, I am recouping and I think I am finally ready to begin making the campaign. The plan calls for 10 maps, each encompassing 1 or 2 chapters of the story.

The team is going to require:

-Voice Acters
-One or two artists(mostly to do a skin or two, as well as some interface changes)
-testers
-one or two guys to help my other friend with the terraining(evil undead mostly)

All the rest is being done by myself and my friend, he's writing all the quests as well as the cins and script(not done yet).

If you're interested take a peek at the story attached.

Since you are asking for voice actors, can we have a demo map of the nearly finished project please?

EDIT: Changed new to nearly.

Why do you automatically assume that their done?

Not everyone asks for voice actors after the project is done.

Then 'not everyone' is a fool. Although I now notice that I put 'new' rather than nearly. Silly me. I'll edit that.

Well since the voice acters are mainly for cinematics I sort of need to know the length of speech I am dealing with to correctly time the cins don't I? And I posted it BEFORE its all done because I understand how long it may take for the right people to get to me, so I wanna nab em early if you know what I mean.

Do you even have *anything* done?

So he doesn't have cins and voice yet? You assume he hasn't done anything. Sheesh.

Presumably if he'd have done anything he'd have said. Looks like an idea on a sheet of paper at the moment.

Griffens just saying that chuckle shouldnt worry about Voice Actors until hes almost done. Which makes sense, since voice actors dont wanna see their talent wasted if the project fails.

Nobody ever wants to see their talents wasted if a project fails. Skinners, terrainers, modellers, ANYONE at all who lent a helping hand in the project. Voice actors aren't special in that matter.

Chuckle came here recruiting people for his team, he probably wanted to see if anyone was interested in voicing later on, not right away. Cut the guy some slack.

Exactly as Dominant said, if I can't get a hold of the people I need whats the point in me spending many hours working on terrain with my friend and doing dozens of quests and a bunch of cinematics?

And what makes skinner/modellers/voice acters unique in not wanting to waste their time? The voice acters will have what? 2 or 3 hours spent doing and fine tuning the voices? Whereas I am going to be spending untold hours writing and coding in quests for the damned thing.

Any takers can send me a short sample to my email.

Some possible characters to voice for:

Sargeras - Duh, the demon
Argantes - Once again a badass demon
Tyroris - Old paladin type
Thrall - Orc dude
A Shaman
Doom Guards
Generic Human guard
Orc Warrior types

@Captain Griffen, its in the beginning planning stage, so far we have a basic outline for the main quest and the beginnings of some quests for the first map.

The point is, voice actors are optional. You can't have a game without someone terraining and triggering it, you can have it without the voice actors. And even if we put voice actors aside, you definitely don't need testers until your project is nearly done. Anyway, for gathering a team, we have a special forum, I'll move the thread there.

i think adding voice is not really a good idea. at least if you want it, do it this way

ready 2 campaigns, 1 has sound file another doesnt. the reason?

sound files are really really big[for a map]
