Nightmare Tree is a multiplayer (online) RPG map which I am currently making (slowly) Now you may be asking "What the heck is Nightmare Tree?" well its the center of the entire map, literally. In the middle of the map there is well the nightmare tree, inwhich a town is base around, this is the main center and core of the map, this is where players can buy, heal, meet up and sell. The game starts off with the player/s choosing their hero, they then step foot into the world. Starting off in a low level area they will quickly advance to harder areas...there will be special dungeons scattered about too. The tile set is Felwood with a few tiles removed/added but the main theme of the map fits to the tile set. One of the main drives of the map is that even though theres alot of good RPG's out on Bnet alot of them lack in certain areas. The things that the map will certainly have... - In the loading screen it will have it so you can see who else is loading, with custom backround so this way you can read and see who may lag in the future of the game. - Fast leveling. - Good content, (dungeons, special items etc) But alas I can not do this alone (I do have other things to do like school) so I need... Triggers: To do simple things like spawning, quests, etc etc Hero Designers: I need someone/someones to design heroes, how many heroes? I dont know but all heroes have a max level of 100. They will also design and make spells etc etc, you are incouraged to use Blizzard spells but if you want to add a custom twist. Creature Design: To make the creatures of the world! Dungeon masters, creeps, everything. Team members KingGigli - Map Leader, Terrain Whitehorn - Triggers A WIP shot of the Nightmare Tree ![]() |

An update...and last one untill release unless I get a team assembled. The terrain is being done well, the main center of the map (the nightmare tree) is getting done and soon I will do the outlying areas. |

I could come up with some good hero ideas and create them within the editor, trigger them also if some need it. What types of heros will there by like, casters? tanks, assassins etc... and like will they have themes to themselves? or themes that have to do with the terrain etc. |

Once the terrain is finished all heros are welcome...let me just say that the main theme is your imagination...so ANYTHING you can think of is welcome. Just make it able to go up untill level 100. I would prefer all heroes to have all their abilities go up to tier 4 and after the player maxes out all the abilities they can just select a attribute bonus. |

So 4/5 abilities with 4 levels? How about: 3 abilities with 10 levels allowed at level 1 1 ultimate with 5 levels allowed at level 20 1 epic with 1 level allowed at level 60 = 36 levels... + 64 attributes that are trigger based. |

Ill start on a hero right now eh? So damage wise etc, shud it be high like at lvl 10 deals 1k or like 400... etc? |

How about this, since I havnt made any of the other units in the game (except the neutral invulnerable ones) just make a hero and then well base all units off that hero. |

I don't know if this would be going off the topic, but I seriously feel that you need a (meaningful) story. The thing I hate the most about B.net RPGs are that you get tossed into some world without a story or a background of sorts. It just starts like: Choose a hero -> kill the troll boss (which you must do for no apparent reason) -> kill other random bosses. Anyway, I don't think I qualify for what you are looking for. Good luck with this though. |
