My first attempt to model a face... so as you see it's WIP. I'm gonna use this in my cinematic. Updated once again (poly count: 666 :D) |

This should be in the modeling & animation forum, someone powerfull enough should move it. Is this also your first attempt at modeling anything? If not, there's no special thing. The face is way too flat, you should change that. Could you post a wireframe? Oh, and you should use blueprints to model faces, that's how you get the best results. |

hmmm, no, it's not my first model. I've already made some crappy doodads with milkshape some while ago. Here are the wireframe pics. |

Is he an afro? 'Cause otherwise the lips are way too big. Also, don't forget the eyelids. |

I know, I've just made the eyelids but also made a mistake when saving it... now I have to redo all that stuff -_- |

wow love the constructive critasism... his lips are a bit big, you made his eyes too big, and is it a masK? btw.. id love to do the skin for that ;) |

heh, I may ask somebody to do the skin if I won't be able to do it myself... and as you can see at the updated pic it's not a mask, I'll soon make the body and the hair. What do you guys think of the updated version anyway? I made the lips a bit smaller... and as you can see there are eyes :D |

Whoa! Well you're a real troublemaker! To me that face looks very good. If you think that sucks, i'd like to see some of your works, and i would be very suprised, if they would be good with your criterias... |

did you just fall from the moon or something? look at my gallery (submissions) and shut up. And giving advice for some piece dosen't mean I think it sucks, you freak. Eyes are beter, but now that I look at it, the nose is too long and possibly too wide (a front view would be very good to see the faces proportions right). Also, it seems that the lips are still flat, you should curve the edges back a little. Here, I made a quick little sketch of basic face proportions guidelines: ![]() |

The anatomy isn't bad at all, it could all do with a bit of a down-scaling though, to put it a little simpler than TDR. |
