It's been awhile since I've released any cinematic so hehe, might as well let the mapping community see that I 'have' been busy, instead of laying around all day doing nothing :P The cinematic can be downloaded here: http://www.wc3campaigns.net/shipwrec...urntrailer.w3x and is approximatly 3minutes 45 seconds long. -edit: got map up on FTP, edited link- Quote from Maps N Mods Quote:

I'm loving it I must say. Warnicro did a really good job on the terrain so far. I'm loving that. Camera's seem fine, but there's no smooth movement.. IF ONLY ... but I guess its too much to ask you to use the system. It was a good trailer, too bad it didnt show much more than terrain. Im looking forward to this much, I hope itll surpass all your cinematics and that TGN will do another awsome battle. Finish it quickly! |

I am glad my terrain falls in place, I worked 15 solid hours at creating the terrain. =D I will continue my terrain work in the real thing as well :D |

One thing, it wasn't really a trailer. it didn't display much of the story. It was just cameras showing terrain. It didn't show much of the story except for the last 5 seconds with the bandits. |

well I guess that last 5 second still do make it a trailer ;), and although it does not display a lot, I guess there are given a few hints ghenjis ;) |

Though I would wish for more suspense or foreshadow in a cinematic trailer. But there isn't enough message in my opinion. Though it is executed well, the only message I get about the cinematic is... Bandits |

Suspense is a killer aint it? :) Not giving away much (if any) of the story was the plan for the trailer. We wanted to give just a nice calm slow feeling of winter as if everything was peaceful. The bandits were used to show the coming trouble, of course, you don't get to see what happens...yet. For a trailer I suppose you are given the choice of telling about the story, or have no story and just have the scenes define what's going to happen. Why use text/voicing to ruin such a perfect winter-esque cinema :P Okay enough rambling on lol, more comments or questions etc. etc. :) |

Ghenjis and I know ALLLLL about suspence when it comes to putting it to a cinematic *COUGH* Dark tales of KARKIS *cough* |

The whole point of the trailer is the same point with the story, you have to have an imagenation and open mind to understand. The bandits is a precursor of the cataclysmic contingent, but it is fundamentaly to notice all the details in the cinematic as it does tell a pertinent yet in a adequately way. All you gotta do is have an open mind to the whole thing and notice all the small details and try to work it around in your head and you should be able to understand it's simplicity. Unless you are a inexorable idiot. |

That would be good ye. A cinematic is NOTHING without custom music. |
