Railgun

I'm going to assume you either A) know how a railgun works or B) know how to use the internet to find out. They are relatively simple with the only current drawback being the lack of a sufficient power source to make a small version feasible.

The power source for this one is located on the bottom between the two grips. The ammo clip is in the back on top and I'll do a diagram of the inside of that shortly. Then I will probably make a 3D model of it.

Nice picture. But there are other drawbacks which is just as important as the power need. The recoil is tremedous and after fiering a slug the rails must be replaced since they take so much damage from friction.

Well yea, this is assuming that a new material is made that overcomes the friction problem and the recoil problem. I should have included those two in the first post.

the part that allows the stock to be extended looks messed.

and the trigger guard looks too small for an index finger compared to the handle.

I think it should be more bulky, to have a strong fundation for the rails. mabye make wiiiide.

Since the problem with modern railguns is the lack of a power supply strong enough (among other things), I would expect that even on the railguns of the future, the power supply would be a bit more bulky.

aye, mabye the power supply should be like a backpack wich the soldier could carry.

The railguns will be mounted on battleships, drawing power from the engines, considering the range on railguns make blackpowder weapons look like shit, its takes minutes to go hundreds of miles.

So yes, the rails will get horribly mangled and destroyed.

However this one dude did make a rail gun and fired it scores without it busting up.

I love hows its precision drawn. but i think that you shoudlnt have the handle so much like a pistol and more like a rifle.
