Ghost and Entangle

We're trying to make a cinema with a dumb mage who casts entangle on her own minion. We gave her level 3 entangle, but when we tested it she never cast it. (We did Unit -- order a unit to do an action targetting a unit). We guessed the problem was she couldn't target her own troops. so we made a keeper of the grove with the ghost ability and teleported him into the area to cast entangle, then killed him. 2 problems: A) he's visible for some reason and B) he won't cast entangle either. BTW the KotG is on an allied team to the players, but w/out shared vision. so shouldn't show up. also, since a wolf attacks him, he is visible to the enemy team too!

help!

Ghost means the unit can walk through other units, that doesn't make him invisable. You need Perminant invisability to be invisable, but with that he will be visable when he uses the spell.

The make someone indetectable use the Hide Unit trigger. The player will never find him, no matter how hard he tries. While hidden the KotG can still cast spells, but you have to have him as a variable or at least a (gen) variable.

Thanks! Wonderful!

And by the way, your movie totally rocks. Me and curi both have seen it like3 times each, maybe more (and that's damn impressive for a 30 minute War3 cinema)

The Keeper isn't casting Entangle because he is ALLIED to the player. You can't cast entangle against allies. He must be neutral or enemy to cast entangle.

or you could just make the unit use no model and have no shadow

Wisps don't have shadows. If you base a unit off a wisp, but with a different model, you can in effect create a shadowless unit. Also, a unit with any flavor of permenant invisibility is visible when paused.
