[PoH] Tarath, the Deathknight

Well, this is Tarath, a very special WC2 Deathknight ^^
Okay, normaly he should have a baton, but due a mistake in
the german wc2 manual, I gave him a sword. Means: it goes by the
german manual, though it's wrong lorewise. <.<
Anyway, he is for my RPG Path of Heroes, and he is going to be a strong enemy. Though I didn't find someone to model him, yet :(

With friendly Greetings,
HandCLAW

P.s.: Maybe I will post some more concepts later >.>

I'll resume all of your drawings to this sentence (don't get offended, I don't mean to insult you): you have the ideas, but don't have the skill to translate them well on paper. Practice more still life drawing (and drawing from references in general) and try to also improve your hatching technique by that and your skills will rise.

This is a little better than avarage aniway.

The only problem I've got is, that I draw to small ^^ You know, on a Din A4 Paper, I use maybe 1/4 of the paper... Dunno why, but I can't stop it... <.<'
-> The picture becomes bad
I already drawed from references, but those drawings were on a even bigger paper, and well, I used there the space. And it was much better ;) But I can't scan them as they are too big <.<'

digital coloring also does wonders, or at least, it did for me :P

but yes, do as TDR says, BAD BOI!

just to add, i like the blade, shoulders and chest area, it looks really warcraft-esque, you've got a keen eye. Now draw it on a bigger sheet, witha pencil, look at a body reference, erase stuff intill you have reached satisfaction (meaning trying diffrent things on and off) then scan the baby, or if you want have a tablet, ink it first and then scan it. Inked lines are easyer to color with a mouse. Becouse honestly, you really dont want to have scanned color pencil pictures with your average scanner... it just doesnt look good ;)

i used to use lots of color pencils as well, and trust me, getting photoshop was the best thing i ever did.

yeah, but you were already drawing neat before you moved to digital. usualy people's skilles are messed up if they go digital without handling well on paper.

i still do both, but i never color traditionally anymore. (well i do, on canvas, but that's 'art' i'm making there and has nothing to do with characters nor concept art. I'd post one, but i always give them away, so i dont actually have one lying around i can take a picture off)

nice idea/concept, just use a better and sharper pencil and try to define the legs and edges abit more.

if it was just a sharper pencil it would have been fine in my books. but its an awsome concept, would look great as a model if done reletivly well.
