arent trolls supposed to be stealthy? camoufled by the dense forests and hurl axes n stuff at their ennemies? i dont mean to be a bitch, and maybe it doesnt even matters, but i think its pure nonsense. i wouldnt throw myself bare torso with a polearm when i know that
1) the persons behind me might aim poorly and kill me
2) mortars will blow me to smithereans in a shameful, unhonorable death
3) footmans can block with a shield, a sword or with their armor
4) i am bare footed, and the ground is rocky, i might fall and die.
oh and for a constructive critism, id like to see a sky and less stuff coming from nowhere limited by a blurred fading, that's so rookie.

Hell, that's a symbol. Why should there be any sky?

The trolls in the mod are rather stealthy and such, sneaking around the forest, using guerilla warfare to their advantage.

It needs more trollish features apart from the mask. Maybe some voodoo stuff and spears but Ionno what kind of trolls you're using in your mod.

trolls have a really, REALLY good aim. hence ranged specialisation as a racial in wow, and since wc2 basic ranged units on the orc side have all been troll.did you just asociate trolls with honour? (brittish spelling) trolls are one of the fieuw races in the world of warcraft that actually dont really have any codes of honour. They generally like to kill stuff, even eachother.and trolls dont wear armor, thus are fast enough to evade footmen attack. footmen block, trolls dodge, whats your point?actually too silly to flame, but dude, you have a steadyer foot when NOT wearing shoes.

Now stop giving hollow arguments, PUH-LEEZ!. The thing about trolls prefering ambush is a just comment, becouse they do, but that whole line of numbers was just so... WRONG.

Plus they get a jamaican accent in wc3 which is a major kickass factor.

I WAS TALKING ABOUT REAL REAL OLD TROLLS, TROLLS DO HAVE HONOUR, footmens swings quite fast, armor or no armor they both have brains, and it works with electric pulses, and electricity isnt instant. a troll cant really dodge or roll itself on the ground, since its a battle ( see background ) they're all tightly packed together.

Reason the wallpaper is loaded to a filehosting site and not an imagehosting site should be rather obvious- the filesize is too large.

Also, Forest Trolls don't have Jamaican accents, only Island Trolls do (listen to the WCIII sound set of the Forest Troll, it sounds like a French Assasin or something).

Also, stop worrying about how trolls act, we've got it covered in the mod. They will definitely have the correct feel for Forest Trolls (for those of you who've been watching our post in Map Projects, you've seen the models and skins and can definitely affirm this). The only area where we deviate is that while the trolls have strong ranged units, they have more melee units (and they're quite good as well). How could we possibly justify this? It is set during a time when the trolls have better access to better weaponry and even a little bit of "armor", and they also had much larger numbers (GTW is actually the reason why the trolls were so broken in WCII). Thus, they could afford the melee units (most of which are still generally structured around guerilla combat anyways).

Trolls really don't have much honor. A majority of trolls simply raid and loot human convoys, villages, traveling parties, etc... The only difference between Forest Trolls in WCII/WCIII and GTW is that there were more trolls, and the trolls were better-organized. Thus, the raids were mounted by entire clans instead of a few trolls. Of course, the raids took on an even greater amount of organization during the war (in my previous sentence, I spoke of just before the GTW).
