wc3campaigns.com problems

You should have noticed a drop in activity - mainly in the number of active users -

It seems the DNS are unable to locate wc3campaigns.com correctly. This is a problem that might always occur so I am gonna suggest you to keep in mind a couple of things:

• www.wc3campaigns.net is the official wc3c address, always use it instead of www.wc3campaigns.com
• .com is a redirect domain.
• It could happen that .com might sometimes be detected by DNS when .net isn't. In case, and only in case .net isn't working try .com instead.

I'd say you change .com to a message that says that wc3c has moved to .net and a link to .net.

Yeah, yesterday I just noticed like 10-15 people out of the normal 30-40. And later, that day, just some 7 and me.

i thought for a moment wc3c was goin to die once again. phew! it's not.

EDIT: BTW, i noticed you've been changin many things in the site these days like the forum menu and the advanced post thingys (emotics, fonts, etc)

The dns problem seems to only have started happening in the last week; .com was fairly reliable before that.

What caused this problem to start?

I had a report from switch that he is also having problems with .net

Yeah, .net wasn't working for me at some point either, I switched to .com then and now that that doesn't work, back to .net.

.com is working now guys. I just noticed it stoped working today, what happened was Draco cancelled the old wc3c server at fdc, it was still hosting the nameservers pointing to .net.

I went ahead and bound the old nameserver ip to one of my friends servers at fdc and made a cname that points to .com to .net. I know this is still a temporay solution and I need to give you guys authority over the registrar, but hey it works.

Edit: also irc.wc3campaigns.com should work as well now.

yeah the .com site is working, I tried .net and got the error message though
