What do you think about my idea:

Tower Defense, objective is to let as many units as possible leak. you start with very strong towers and slowing towers, later you get weaker towers and hasting ones. If you kill all creeps in a wave you lose a life.

That not-building thing should be solved somehow, and stop-abuse - well that can be avoided too. For example system could be made that creeps must be damaged.

Maybe make it so you have to kill half, and lose a life for missing either way?

Or I'll make that total hp of creeps leaking must be around or less than 50% of starting ones. (you have to damage them severely)

Can you remove the stop command from a unit?

Also just make it so you HAVE to build a certain amount of towers each round but you can choose what they are.

You could make it so that they have to build a tower by enacting a penalty if they do not. For example:

Player 1 decides not to build anything for round 3. At the end of the round, player 1 forfeits X lives.

Makes players build so that they do not lose lives.

Also, you should make it so that no matter where they build, the towers will have crossfire.

Just my 2 cents...

What would be the point in that..? Avoid restrictions due to bad design. They aren't fun.

I suggest that you make it so, that you get more points for each tower that you build and how many monsters leak. Instead of advancing levels every turn, why not only advance if you get enough points, if not your stuck on the same round again.

I thought of getting points like towers/creeps leaked (more towers more points). So after 20 rounds the guy with most points wins.
