One shattered kingdom, three eternal enemies. The plaguelands, once glorious home to the humans, now lies in the hands of the scourge. The only opposition being the crazed zealots of the scarlet crusade, and the holy warriors of the argent dawn. Rumours have spread that the great claymore wielded by the human Variel Lightwind during the reign of chaos was not destroyed as many had thought, but rather, buried with him. This sword is of immense power, and all three of the waring factions would very much like to get their hands on it. The trouble is, no-one is really sure of just what happened to Variel Lightwind…. Basil let out a deep sigh as he eyed the recruits he’d been given for his latest mission. He held a pile of Argent Dawn tabards in one hand, and his sceptre in the other. He wasn’t too sure about this lot. “Greetings on behalf of the dawn brothers. I am Basil Goldwreath, your commander for this mission. Let me introduce to Variel Lightwind, a human of excellent skill and valour. He fought well for Lorderon against the scourge, but, like many of mankind’s warriors, he was slain by the servants of the lich king.” Basil paused at this point. Not out of respect, but merely because his throat was rather dry. Basil was used to death now. There was no point in fretting about it. He took a step towards his troops, and began handing out the tabards, continuing his briefing as he spoke “Variel had in his possession a great sword, known only as the “Ghoulrender”. After he was slain by numerous undead warriors, it was always believed a necromancer destroyed the sword. However, the dawn believe this to be a lie. My superiors have ordered me to find out more. And find out more we shall. The Plaguelands is a dangerous place however, and I advise you all to be on your guard at all times…and for some of you, not even with that do you stand a chance.” Basil let out a small smirk as he held his sceptre over one shoulder. The crumpled heap of robes that was once a necromancer lay shaking in the middle of the crypt. A tall, dark figure encased in tattered armour stood above him. Rekthos brought down his axe, cleaving the necromancers hand from his arm. “You wretch! Produce the shard at once!” The skeleton warrior hurled his axe to one side and pulled the necromancer up to his face. “You don’t have it do you!? Why!? Is Variel not DEAD!?” The Necromancer let out a whimper, and managed to stutter “Yes sir! He’s dead my lord, but…the sword. It was...protected…” Rekthos had heard enough. He threw the necromancer down to the ground, and retrieved his axe. There was a flash of steel, and the necromancer’s head rolled across the floor, blood gushing out from his neck, and into the mouths of slavering ghouls who were already crawling over his corpse. Rekthos roared to soldiers around him, “We march, now! I’ll destroy that sword myself!” Clive jerked his head to the left, then right, and bared his teeth to the soldiers in front of him, his right eye as twitchy as ever. “Roit! You lot want to kill some z-z-zzzombies then do ya!? Ol’ Clive’ll show ya how, you follow Clive. Herod’s been telling me about this great sword, that needs findin’! What Herod wants Herod gets. I’m Clive, and I’m your superior officer…commander…leader…well im one of em. Theres too many ranks to remember these days. Anyway, your job, is ter follow me, and ‘elp me get the sword back. You got that? Good, let's move out!” -----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mmkay, now that’s done with. Welcome to Blades of Light, the Rp for the best of the best. Emo is officially on the “low” setting, and kickass is off the scale.Heres how this goes. The plot is simple, as are the teams. Everything’s black and white here, which means more fightin’. I hope to be able to find a few decent characters for each faction here, and with my three NPC characters of Basil, Rekthos and Clive. Theyre the leaders for each mini faction. Now here what’s different about this RP. You’ll decide where to go, you can literally go anywhere you like in your attempts to find clues to locating the lost sword. There’ll be red herrings, dead ends, and the real clues. Occasionally, some of these “clues” will be Pm’d to that character that finds them, so theres no sneakyness form the other players. However, say Billy, a knight of the scarlet crusade finds a note that says “psst, I hear the sword is at andorhol”, andd starts travelling there, Timmy the Scourge player cannot simply have a hunch to go to andorhol. Me and Domi will be strict about people picking up on other peoples leads. You follow your own please ^^ And with that, we go on to characters. No Cliches, I want some real originality here. Seriously, im being an elitist arsehole here. However, it will take more than a good character to get you officially included. There will be a "test battle" right at the start. Depending on the quality of your writing, You'll stay. ^^ Current Characters include- Butch, the cannon wielding, cigar smoking arse kicker. Scarlet Crusade side. Cholik, the dirtied priest who likes immortality. Argent Dawn side. Shacka-Lacka, the overweight con artist troll with funky snake doodles on her. Argent Dawn Side. Vinnie "The Mauler" Evans, the chain swinging, bowler hat donning rat keeper. Scourge Side Alyssa "The Light's Touch", The blind, former prostitute who doesn't have a whip. Scarlet Crusade side. Arisana, The magic hating, horse loving, slightly insane human warrior. Argent Dawn Side? Seth Darkeye, The wife crushing, ever-so-curious-about-death devotee. Scourge side Kine Tor'ar The angry, noseless swordsmaster, Scourge side Oh, one final note. Knowledge of the area will be important. This map shows the location of every character, updated every other day. 'Tis a big image. |

Ow murmur try and give people some Information ffs. Light Hope's Chapel - Main base of the Dawn's operations. Stratlholme - The fallen city: home to the scourge and a scarlet bastion who are in conflict. Tyr's hand - Another bastion of the crusade's power. Hearthglen - ANOTHER scarlet outpost. Plaguewood - controlled by the scourge. Narmaxxas - The floating stronghold (pyramid) of Kel'Tuzard. Corin's Crossing+Darrowshier+Ruins of Darrowshire = Scourge. |

Plasma, thats more interesting. any guy who goes and wrecks his wife that much on a mere whim is invited. And Seath is such a cool name for an ebil character. Karat's more or less in, but it is indeed such a nerubian name. We now have 3 on Argent Dawn, 3 on Scourge, and 2 on Scarlet Crusade. Would be nice to get one more Scarlet Crusade player. C'mon people. Scarlet Crusade are the best faction! ^^ |
