War3ModelEditor can convert any size, but can't handle*.ico (convert to bmp, tga or something first).

War3 can't use 'any size', so that's a bit silly.

I just tried using a 174x265 blp texture in Warcraft 3 and it worked perfectly fine. Don't spread misinformation unless you've tried it yourself first!

Wow, you gotta be shitting me, War3 never allowed me to use a size such as that before. Please upload the .BLP or map file :)

Also, you may want to upload the ModelEditor to our resource section.

It probably got changed in some patch, perhaps the one that introduced the image handle, else the "elders" didn't generate correct blps when converting the images of non- 2 power dimensions

Does not seem to work for me. (The texture becomes solid white in-game) Mind posting a map with it?

The tools may convert, but the game can't handle it. Has to be the powers of two.

Yes that is what I thought, but Magos is claiming it does work.

He must be wrong, I've had numerous occasions where non-standard sizes caused the texture to go all white.

Of course, this is why some poeple saw Marty in my animated loading screen test and others don't. It's a graphics card issue, some cards can handle non-power textures while others cannot. The Marty image was 281x280 in size.
