Ok i made a model of a bundle of cash in Milk Shape 3d and exported it into a .obj, then used Obj and 3dsToMdxConverter to convert it into a .mdx, it works in game just the texture shows up as a construction texture :(

Anyone got the mdx exporter for milk-shape 3d that works?

Cheers,
Mapster

I carn't find "ioquan's Zero Joints plugin for Milkshape" anywhere :(
What do i actually need to make a model (milkshape) export it into a file that works in war3 so i can use it and so on?

If you have the newest version of Milkshape, then look under the plugins menu, it's near the last. All you need to make a modle for warcraft is an idea fo what you want, the exporter, and your imagination. Some mdl editing skills help too ;)

Oh, and let me point you here: http://www.wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=79181

Of course you found it annoying, it doesn't do the work for you. The Finaliser only comes into its own when you've made the model and exported it. Learn how to work Milkshape before you go near any of this, there's plenty of good tutorials on the site. When you're confident with that and have a model, come back here and we can discuss specifics.

Don't give up so easily, man!

Well, if you want to do it the harder way, here's RDZ's doc.

Hold it... You can't upload .txts? Bah, zip it up... Woo, saved 10 kbs!\

Sorry :P

EDIT- Bah, RDZ, you posted at the same time as me >:(

This wouldn't have happened if I could upload a .txt :/

All the data in that document will one day make its way to the Finaliser's help document.

Isn't the Finaliser due soon?

Right now, technically

Well, the end of the period, it should be done. The submission version, anyway. I'll continue to develop the Finaliser for as long as I can on the side.

Have you tried converting it to .mdl and changing the texture path yourself?
