Allright, this is a new RP, quite diffrent from what we have had now. There will not be much fighting in it, and the fighting that does occur is on a small scale. no world changing events or epic battles between good and evil. Anyone can join, if they would like to, with any kind of character as long as you can wriggle yourself in fittingly.

This takes place after The Awakening and The Great Pillage.

This RP will give you a chance to re-live any characters that you may have used in either of these RP's, and tell the story of "what happoned after". You can also, ofcourse, just make a new char and roll with the events.

After the Battle for booty bay, the pirates where too scattered to form a threat anymore. Whomever survived from either side, left to find they're own path in life, allthough baron Ravingez did order the execution of any pirate that was still to be found, but how are you gtoing to proove one's piratehood? Many got away, to join gangs, other pirates or to live a life of law.

Kam and Thanka managed to get on a boat back to Kalimdor. After several months of trekking around, they finally found a small oases in the barrens, that was once inhabited by Kolgarr Centaur, but by the looks of it they had abandonned they're bases. They settled here, anough natural recources nearby, and the place had a strong spiritual vibe for Kam to meditate on. Soon, they're son was born. They gave him a simple name, Tan. They also decided, that, now that they both where not in they're original tribes anymore, this child should have a new tribal name to carry. They dicided on the name "Lightrune tribe". It sounded a bit dull, but it reflected what they stood for. What Kam was. What he would teach his son: Priesthood of the Encastral Light.

For years they lived in solitude, granting food, rest and water to travelling parties, be them alliance or horde, as long as they where friendly. Nomads usually are, expecially to food and water. Some took tales with them to the world outside, tales of Kam and his abilities, tales of this new "tribe". It took some time, but eventually people came. Not many at first, and not always friendly, but eventually some settled there, in that oases, to learn from Kam, or understand how it was done. This was how they grew and grew, and eventually became a tribe. A tribe of mixed races, mainly human and tauren, but they called themselves a tribe nevertheless.
(Allthough the inquisitors of the light that sometimes came there becouse of the romours called them "A small cult, no big threat, nothing to worry about.")

=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Our story begins about eight years after the first settling. The settlement of ancestral light has now grown to about 35 people permanently living out there, of wich 55% are human, 30% tauren and the rest a mix of diffrent races, allthough no forsaken, trolls or gnomes are present. Kam is the chief of this settlement, and also the spiritual leader. His wife, Thanka, is not that spiritiual, spents more time with hunting parties looking for food. There are several families or loves present, allthough most of the settlers are lone priest and clerics.

There are several threads to this humble settlement:
-The Kolgarr centaur. They are still present in the barrens, and might one day reclaim what was theirs.
-The Inquisition of the Light. The humans may dicide that this so called 'Ancestral light' is a cult and a threat to they're pure faith of the light, and thus needs to be eradicated.
-Bandits and Pirates, the usual scum.

=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-==-=-=--

about the Ancestral Light.

first, some quotes from http://www.wowwiki.com/Shamanism_and_Nature_Worship:
Quote:
The shamanistic and druidic races do not dismiss the Holy Light that the humans prize, but they understand that the light comes from countless myriads of brightly shining points. In a rush to embrace the all, the shamans agree, humans quite literally miss the point.
Quote:
Instead of negotiating with individual spirits, tauren carve representative imagery on their totems and draw power from acting in a particular spirit's name. This relationship provides tauren with great strength but little spiritual comfort. For such comfort, they look to the spirits of their ancestors.

The encestral light is no new force. It is a new way of approaching existing forces, and communicating with them. Where practicioners of shamanism usually draw power from a nearby elemental force, the practicioners of the ancestral light draw they're power from the ancestors watching over them, and the holy light they emit. This light is a form of life force: it has nothing to do with the deeds an ancestor might have done in its life. For an ancestor to grant his power to your bidding, though, they have to stand by your actions and believe in you, be this good or evil. Therefore, frequent meditation and communication with the ancestral beings is nescesary to sustain and increase power along this path. Communication in this context is more meant as an exchange of feelings and escence, reather then an actual communication. Though sometimes the Ancestors might say actual things through visions.

lets see some character creation, if anyone is interested. I will make character sheets for Thanka and Tan, but leaving Tan's personality quite open, becouse i would like a player to play the role of Tan. (i would like IgnitedStar for this, but he may not like it xD) Taur will ofcourse make his sheet for Kam.

For anyone with a thick head, you can create any character, but make sure it fits into the story line. I will be kickstarting some events when the time is right :P

----
Taur will be playing Kam.
erwtenpeller will be playing Thanka.
Plasma Dragon will be playing Malthar Sel'Gen
IgnitedStar will be playing Sinare, Saffire and Tan
vig0r will be playing Jo'Jack

OOC: I'm making the starting post coz erth is supposedly in the shower, though I have a suspcion he's taking crack again. This does not mean the RP is closed to new applications, I'm just bored :D WARNING: THIS POST IS VERRRY LONG AND HAS NO PLOT VALUE AT ALL

The sun had yet to rise, and in the lightrune tribe no one was stirring not even a mouse. Well maybe just one, a little pig to be exact, up at the crack of dawn to search for the best grazing spots. Finally he settled on a nice tall shady tree, and sat down to munch.

Thwack. What was that sound? It was much to early for anyone to be up. Thwack, there it was again. Maybe he should move to another spot, but just as he got up he realized it was too late. It was an earthquake, everything was shaking. He was just about to scamper when the tree began to tip. He had never seen a tree tip before, so he stood rooted to the spot watching the tree fall... and fall... until it was right on top of him.

...

Kam smiled, as he continued to beat down his opponent. It was too easy, he never even got scratched, it may have partially been because his opponent was a tree, but that didn't really bother him. He loved getting up in the morning and practicing, best time to get your muscles moving so you can eat a huge breakfast. His staff whirled and twirled hitting imaginary opponents and trees, moving quickly to parry one hit and then carry the momentum into an attack. He felt the light surround him and felt completely at peace, there was nothing better he would like to have spent his time on.

A small branch having fallen from one of the sparse trees snapped. Kam's eyes flew open, he stood corrected, meditating and practicing at the same time was fun and all, but there was something he liked better.

Usually no one disturbed his practice lessons, but this was special. He thought as he saw Thanka turn the corner and lean on a tree, hoping he hadn't spotted her, from the corner of his eye. Even though they had been married for over 10 years, Kam still felt Thanka was easily the best looking tauren in the tribe. Today was no different her white fur made her look oh so elegant and her long mane was braided carefully, but perhaps her most striking feture was her caring blue eyes. Kam smiled, Thanka didn't show up at this time very often, time to show off.

He concentrated and snarled for effect as holy fire engulfed his hands and soon spread to his staff. This was a special move he had thought up recently. He slashed at the tree again this time with a blazing staff. A slash like mark appeared on the trunk, and slowly grew bigger, and brighter until it began to rot at the tree itself. Of course the tree fell over, only then did Kam see the innocent piggy standing behind it.

Ouch that didn't look good, but maybe if he patched it up, he could say he actually hunted a pig for once. Too late Thanka cleared her throat from behind him, she had of course been watching the entire time.

"Oh verry nice, Kam. I've never seen someone kill two innocent things in one shot."
Kam looked at her blankly, two things?
"The pig .. and the tree?"
"oh right."
"You don't have to show off everytime I decide to pop by." she said playfully

Though Kam begged to differ, Thanka didn't often get up early enough to watch his practice lessons, and of course he had to show off when she did. He didn't do a bad job of showing off either, he was of course not wearing a shirt (bah, shirts and meditating do not mix) and was sweating like crazy, he liked the effect.

"You look hungry." she said bringing out a bowl of... breakfast! Kam broke into a grin, as she lay down the two bowls on the ground and the two of them sat down to eat. The food was delicious of course, even though there were a number of other talented cooks at the tribe, Thanka insisted on cooking for her family. Kam felt the urge to comment on the food, but love's little lessons had taught him well over the years, Thanka obviously did not want to talk about food. And he did not know yet if she was feeling romantic so until he knew further he would assume the issue was domestic.

"Wheres Tan?" he asked casually glowing at pride at his detective work
"Sleeping of course."
"Hows he doing?"
"Very well, all the elders say only good things. He's special isn't he?" she asked leaning on his shoulder
"Verr..y" he said between mouthfuls, over the years he had become chieftain of the Lightrune tribe, which was more of a mix of races than a tauren tribe, many humans, orcs and others among them. All coming to learn the ways of the Ancestral Light. It made him glow with pride, but his most important responsibility was to his family. Tan showed great promise and intelligence, so whenever he had a spare moment Kam always took the time to tutor or play with his son.

Thanka was of course less spiritual, and often spent her time hunting, but she knew his feelings better than he did so Kam always thought there was something extra special about her.

"So anything on your mind?" he asked uncertainly, she didn't wake up so early without a reason.
"Nothing." she said sighing "I just came to watch you, or unless you've become too important for me." she added with a wink
Kam smiled "Never." though the effect was ruined a tad by the food he was chomping down on. He carefully scanned her face, since marrying Kam, Thanka had given up a lot most importantly to her was snow, Kam knew and this sometimes caused her to act a little depressed. Kam was about to say something when he noticed the sun starting to rise, he changed his mind.

"This is the best place in the entire camp to watch the sun rise." he said, putting down his bowl and grabbing her by the waist. She giggled as he lifted her into a tree and then jumped up beside her to see the sun peak over the horizon.

"Beautiful.." she sighed "but we better be getting to the tribe." Kam looked annoyed, sometimes being a chief was annoying, but he was sure the tribe could function without him, chief was a symbolic word, in the Lightrune tribe everyone pitched in to do thier work.

Just as they were leaving, Tan came running out of the brush right into Thanka's arms

"Your late for breakfast!" he said beaming

I dunno where I'm going with this, he he, no value at all. Anyways maybe erth can describe life at the tribe and we can start oh I dunno... a plot?

As Tan skipped along the sandy path towards the small village, consiting of wood-enforced tipis, the sun rose in they're backs. Kam and Thanka where walking hand in hand, Thanka leaning a bit onto Kam. He was a lot taller then her, so when looking at him she had to look way up. As she did, she felt a love just as strong as a decade ago. Maybe even stronger, she thought. The village slowly started to wake up.

At the centre of the village stood a large tipi with three tips, used as a community building. In between its three tips was a big hole, to let the smoke of fires escape easely. In front of the building there was a large totem erected, carved with symbols of diffrent languages, but no images of animals or races. Around the totem there was a large bit of open ground, around wich where the res of the huts, and some more up on the slopes. one side of the village was protected by a small rocky hill, behind it was the barrens. On the other side, the lush oases that provided with everything that was needed. Sometimes lone Kodo's would come drink there, and provided a good source of food for most of the village. Also, a lot of growing things, plants and stuff, provided for them. They also cultivated some herbs and plants on several sites around the village. Captiva farm animals would walk around free, and where mainly kept for eggs or milk, the meat would come from hunting wild animals.

Now, on the main square, the ogre Jo'Jake was stirring a big spoon in a huge pot with stew in it. The ogre, after Thanka, was the best cook around, and he cooked pretty much for the entire camp, besides Kam's family, becouse Thanka insisted on doing that herself. Next to the ogre stood the orc Malgar. He was usually the first to be up, he liked a morning training as much as Kam did. If it wasnt for Kams sheer size, Thanka always thought, that orc would be the buffest thing she had ever seen; bulging green muscles. His wolf was never far away. Tan let go of his mothers arm, and ran towards Malgar. "Uncle Malgar! Uncle Malgar!" The orc gently cought the running child, and lifted him up on his broad shoulders so he could look inside the pot with stew. "Looks tasty, mr. Jo!" The ogres left head laughed. Sinare and Saffire where sitting a couple of metres away, playing they're game, mana chess. They tried to teach it to as many people as they could. Kam proceeded on his way to the main tent to sound the brakfast gong, and Thanka went to Saffire and Sinare, they're company was pleasant.

The gong rang, people came out of they're huts and tipi's, stopped with whatver they where doing, to have a common breakfast. it was a time to talk about the day, and make plans for the future. But they never really did think about the future, they lived in the here and now,

and they where happy.

Dont worry Kam, I am ENGORGING your posts, what a love - romance, EMONESS! Oh the happy days... this is making me emotional ;P

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh the sunshine. It provided two things for Jo. There was the physical delight of the warmth tickling his grey skin, and there was the fuzzy warm feeling sunsets would give his enormous belly. Jo remembered when he first came around these grounds - when the village consisted of just a few tents, which now was the main square. He pinked away a tear. In all his lifetime, this was the first time he felt truely happy. Jo didn't care if it was because of the power's the Ancestral Light gave them or the pure hearts the users carry around, but people here where judged on they're personality. Remembering his days as a brute, the carefree lifestyle appealed ever more to him then to some others.

His lust for battle vagued away a long time ago, and made place for diffrent passions. Food, food, food! Oh the delight of a good stew filling up the stomauch, filling the body with energy and the spirit with delight. There was no better feeling as other people eating his creations, and enjoying it. Offcourse, he could only stand in the shades of the culinar genious the Chieftan's Wife, Thanka. He always tried to fish out her secrets, but they remained well hidden. It was like a friendly rivarly: who could cook up the best meals. Due his size, Jo would always cook up the large ammounts. But Thanka's little touch, the delicatness - he knew no better feeling. Oh, perhaps love he once knew... but those times where over. He no longer needed other Ogres anyway, they repulesed him. Offcourse, Thanka was good lookin', but a bit skinny.

Both of Jo's mouth boomed the camp awake: "DINNER! Come get yer stew!" The chieftan's family was already looking over his shoulder - into the huge pot and the huge spoon only Jo could handle. He beamed with proud towards Thanka. "I think I got it this time. You cant deny it this time, my stew is unbeatable!" Thanka giggled. "We'll see..." She gave a mysterious wink she gave him a lot of times - he both loathed and loved it. I guess there was a bit of lust of battle within him, but on a diffrent scale. Tan, the young tauren sniffed up the scent enthousiasticly. "Looks tasty, Mr.Jo!" Jo's left head chuckled and his right head winked. "I think this is it, sport - the one ingredient that I needed. Secret, offcourse... We dont want your mother to be stealing my recipy!" Tan laughed and made a funny motion Jo could hardly comprehend. "No matter how hard you try, Mister, you will never beat mommy!" Jo chuckled again, this time with both heads. and patted Tan on his head. "We'll see". He winked back to Thanka, with both heads.

By this time, Jo's battlecry had woken up the entire camp. He motioned Tan and a few of his friends - two humans and another tauren to help him distrubiting the food. They where more then willingly - after all, they would get something extra. Jo ordered everyone to make a ordered line, and invited Thanka and his husband to take place besides him. He always needed Thanka besides him - to judge his creations. He had to beat her... and stew was his specialty. Jo used his huge spoon to pour in the wooden bowls of the willing inhabitans with one dose. Tan's boys used much smaller spoons, and woe on thim if they would touch Jo's spoon. It was special, it contained the wood of his former weapons. Symbolic, for leaving his past behind. He paused with the pouring and let the boys handle the line. He montioned Thanka, and they cast eachother Wild-west style looks. This was the moment, judgemend day. He had worked on this recipy for two months now... she HAD to acknowledge the genious of this one. Jo reached deep into the stew and gave Thanka a extra tasty bit.

Thanka accepted, and smiled challenging. She brought the bowl to her mouth in a unesicary slow motion. This was, offcourse, to taunt Jo, like she would always do on a new creation. The stew entered her mouth, and stayed there for some seconds. She rolled her eyes and let the stew tickle her tongue, judging the substance. Then, she slowly gulped, and waited another few seconds for the verdicht. Jo couldn't take the tension. "Well? What?" Thanka smiled. "Ghost mushroom. isn't it?" Jo yelled out loud and held his spoon up high. "It took you 10 seconds? GAAH! Well, does it do the trick?" Thanka gave him a seirous look. "It could do with a little more sugar." "SUGAR? SUGAR?" Thanka couldn't hold her laugh and bursted out. Jo let out another yell and returned to the pouring sequence. Sugar.... sugar... no way. Or... It WAS a bit to bitter. She was always right, damn the woman! He continued pouring in meals, grumpy.

Other creatures might rescue princesses, slay dragons. Others might be on a quest for greed, treasure. Others quest more sinister, plotting to destroy, take over the world. Jo's quest was easy. To beat the one woman, who could beat his stew. Just for once.

They made thier way slowly towards the main square, Tan was jumping up ahead pointing the way making sure his parents didn't get lost in the treacherous few feet behind him. He was used to his parents acting sappy but he always looked pointedly away.

The ogre was shouting

"DINNER!"

as they approached, even though the sun had just risen. Kam had always thought he was slightly disturbed, too much food, but he never brought the issue up with Thanka who enjoyed her contests with the fat ogre. Kam just laid back, watched the two compete and scanned the ogre's face carefully making sure the glances the ogre shot at Thanka were purely of competetion. There were half orc, half ogres weren't there? Some ogres had verrry strange tastes, and he was making sure this one wasn't one of 'em.

Finally after some contest to which Kam wasn't really paying attention to (he was much more intrigued by the buildings, thinking of how the camp could be enlargened and still look good), had finished Kam lined up for breakfast, thinking that he might for once try the ogre's food. He had of course just eaten but seconds or thirds never hurt.

Thanka didn't miss it, she stood hands on her hips

"Didn't you aldready eat?" she asked
"Errr..."
"What isn't my food good enough?"

Kam sighed, no seconds today. So as Thanka played with Tan and chatted with the other women, Kam spotted Malthar, the orc who had become a fast friend and a steady warrior. He smiled, just like Thanka he too had someone to compete with. He grabbed two staffs from the practice hut and headed towards Multhar. The orc was just finishing his meal, and had his back turned to Kam.

An oppurtunity Kam couldn't pass up.

"Think fast!" he said and threw the second staff at the orc. He may have been strong, but Multhar didn't exactly have the best reflexes Kam chuckled to himself as the staff hit the orc right in the head.

"So up for a quick battle." Kam asked "Or are you too busy examining the food?"

The staff had abruptedly hit Malthar on the head. Ouch. Thrown back on the recoil, Malthar thought the same thing everytime Kam did this. Reflexes...note to self: work on those. Being careful not to spill his food, He quickly gulped down the last few bites and held the staff up in front of him "I'll never back down from a challenge!" Malthar yelled out, smiling.

This place truly had been the place that he longed for, no one was arguing...mostly. Everyone was calm and, more or less, no one faught. But what he looked foward to the most was the fights between Kam and him. He, like Jo'Jack, could never seem to beat Kam. Although he put up a long and well faught battle, Kam always seemed to flip him over in some way and put his staff to his head. One day however, he would be the one to trap Kam and claim victory. He always had hoped that today was that day.

"Alright, Cheif! Get ready cause your about to meet your match today!" Malthar threatened.

"Are you gonna talk about it or do it?" Kam teased.

Malthar gave a quick smirk, "You just wait.." he said before charging at Kam. Swinging his staff at Kam, he just sighed and ducked. Kam then thrusted his staff at Malthar's chin and he flung backward and landed on his back. Standing back up quickly, he got in a defensive position. Kam then offensivly swung an overhead blow and Malthar threw his arms up and blocked it. Malthar smiled for a second but then Kam kicked him in the stomach and he flew back again. Standing up slowly from the blow in the stomach, Malthar thrusted his staff at Kam and repeated several times. Kam just seemed to dodge them all.

"Looks like those two are at it again..." Thanka notified as she saw Kam and Malthar fighting.

"I'll get you this time!" Tan ran over to watch his father and Malthar dual. Always enthusiastic to see how Malthar would get beat today.

"No way, Uncle Malthar! You can never beat Daddy!" Tan yelled out.

"This just might be the day I do, little one!" Although the battle seemed one sided right now, Malthar wasn't pathetic. Kam did another overhead blow and Malthar rolled to his right and swung the staff into Kam's back. Kam, with a bit of recoil, then ran out and went into another defensive position. Malthar did a couple of dodges to keep Kam guessing where he was going to go next. Jumping up and holding his staff towards Kam's head. Kam gave a final sigh and ducked down. Malthar got surprised and looked down, now over Kam. Kam swung his staff up and drove Malthar to the ground. On the ground now, Malthar looked up to see the end of Kam's staff close to his face. Making a fist and slamming the sand beneath him, Malthar was a little frustrated but it was always fun.

Getting himself up, Malthar and Kam slammed their hands together like two good friends. "Maybe tomarrow..." Malthar hoped.

"Maybe..." Kam returned, giving Malthar a little encouragement. Maybe not...

Tan ran up to both of them very excited. "That was great, Daddy! You were good too, Uncle Malthar!"

"Well, your father better watch out because someday I'll get him." Kam laughed and Tan doubted him giving a no way back at him.

Tan was congratulating his father and Malthar until he spotted Sapphire and Sienare alone playing their wierd spirit chess game. They'd been playing it a lot lately, but it seemed like they never let others get a turn. That often made Tan quite impatient and even more curious. He started to approach them.

---

"Someone's coming!" Sapphire said excited.

Tan ran towards them, "Are you two playing that again?"

"Of course!" Sienare replied and continued, "My daughter needs practice."

"Liar! You cheat all the time!" Sapphire yelled.

"Hey! How can I cheat if I made the game?"

"That's the point, dad! You made the game, you alter the rules."

"Dimenish leftover peasent!" Sienare yelled, as the ball of fake mana started to glow. At almost an instant, the peasent burst into flames and soon no longer existed. The balls of fake mana dissapeared.

"AHHHH!!!" Sapphire screamed, "Aw, I lost... again?"

"One of your weak points, Sapphire is that your concentration in this game is lacking." Sienare pointed out.

"No... y-you just got me off guard... All I needed was to toast your archer and I woulda won."

"You know what?" Tan interrupted. "You two sound more like a couple of old geezers playing a regular chess game."

Sienare and Sapphire glared at Tan together. Tan backed away a little, knowing how creepy the two can get.

"Fine, dad! I'll show you! We're playing one more time!!!" Sapphire pointed one of her fingers in her father's face.

"Oh, I going to ask you to play again anyways," Sienare replied happily.

---

About ten minutes later, the two competitors were on their 5th turn. Sienare knew he was going to win again, since Sapphire was on the verge of being defeated again. Tan had his eyes glued to the board, wondering what the heck were they doing?

"It's happening again..." Sienare complained. Complaining about his daughter losing again.

"Hehehe..." Sapphire laughed evilly. "This time I've got you!"

Sapphire had put her hand into the mana orb, when it flashed a eriee light! Sienare wondered, "Hmmm... Interesting." Tan was amazed. He never knew that a game could give should a wierd flash.

At that time, Sapphire grew very confident as if even the heavens themselves couldn't stop her disaterious plan. Sounding VERY corny, Sapphire said, "Super Special Secret Attack!" she said outloud. Sienare's eyes widened at the smoke appearing under her pieces on the board. "The Moment Where We Torture Men's Souls!"

Sienare lost all excitement his body. With a twisted head and dumbfounded face, he remarked, "What...?"

Then, all of Sapphire's units on the board had puffed into smoke. Sienare looked closely at what had awaited him. Until... until... something very strange had appeared within the smoke. To Sienare's excitement he saw... HE SAW... that all of Sapphire's pieces had become something beyond the depths of the Underworld! That they have become something so menacing to mankind itself! They became.... THEY BECAME...

A bunch of naked human ladies with nothing but sexy bodies! Sienare, with such a unforgetable face, looked in TOTAL disbelief. "$^@%@&%@%*&@#*($!!!!!" He yelled. Sienare, so digusted with what he saw, fainted with a bloody nose. On the other hand, the same thng happened to all of Sienare's pieces. They all fell to the floor, obessed with love and unstop thinking of sexy bodies!

Lucky enough, Sienare managed to close Tan's eyes. "Huh??? What's happening?!?! I can't see!" Tan said.

The game instantly stopped, knowing who the victor was. "HO HO HO HO HO HO HO!!!" Sapphire laughed both insanely and uncontrollably. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!"

Sienare lifted himself up. "HEY!!!! YOU CAN'T DO THAT!!!!"

Sapphire was on floor laughing very heavily. "Ahahahahahaha! Oh... that was hilarious! D... Dad, you shouldn't seen your face! Ahahahaha!"

Sienare started to blush with embarrassment. "I did NOT know that my daughter would go THAT FAR to win a game!!!"

"Ah.... I didn't even know you could go that far. Ahahahaha! Ooh, too funny! Ahahahahahaha!"

"THAT'S IT!!! NO MORE PERVERSE MOVES FOR YOU LITTLE GIRL!" Sienare started attempted to grab Sapphire. She reacted by running away, laughing. "Come back!" Sienare yelled, reluctantly following her.

Tan didn't understand what had JUST happened. Only that Sapphire had the best laugh of her life time and that because she was laughing, the giggles started to get to Tan.

Oh the great statisfaction a good meal could give. Moments ago, Jo had been stuffing his enormous, private bowl in with both heads, eating twice as much as a normal resident with twice the speed. He was leaning back on the ground, patting his belly and letting out a big long belch. Oh, this was the life. Indeed. He looked around him, and saw that the other people where wrapping up they're food as well. Jo commanded a few boys to help him clean the table and stock in the dishes.

Just a few meters away from the table, Malthar and Kam had held another fight. Jo depised this, but knew important battle was for some people. He quickly looked the other way, and pulled his enormous body in a more suitable position, for his morning walk. It was time to visit Seinare and his daughter, who seemed to have troubles with showing up for dinner . He grunted, and grabbed the huge stirring pot, which still had some stew in it. They will eat, the kind way or the hard way. Where was Tan anyway?

When he turned the corner where Seinare's tipi stood, he saw the usual scene. He and his daughter just finished a game of chess, with Seinare probably being victorious, and Tan looking over the edge curiously. Jo came barging in with the food, and it didn't take long for the trio to notice him. "God you two skinny elves need some meat on your bones! You know, you have to start showing up for dinner". His left head looked dead serious, but the second head winked to Tan and was grinning. Before he could respond, Jo would cut him off. "Not you Tan, you dont want to be as fat as I am!" Tan, already being in a giggly mood bursted it out, with Sapphire throwing out some laughter as well. Seinare was a bit of a tougher crowd, just smiling.

Jo smashed downt he pot and mentioned the two elfs. "Eat. And then its time for a rematch, Seinare. I still cant forgive myself for losing to you yesterday!"

After breakfast, when everyone went about they're business, Kam to have a quick skirmish, Tan just doing his usual... stuff and myabe mishief, but if he was up to no good, she knew Jo'Jack would be on to it before he could actually pull any pranks. That ogre sometimes just seemed to know stuff. Thanka was now having a short morning stroll along the hillside, and eventually sat down somewhereamongs the rocks and grass, overlooking the village. She let some earth run through her fingers, then looked at the bright sunl, still low, but it would soon get higher, and it would heat up again. How long since she had seen snow? Thanka sighed.

As Thanka looked in the distance, she suddenly noticed a dustcloud out in the barren desert. Looked likie travellers, and if she could see them, they would have probubly allready noticed the oases and where headed there for restockments, fresh water and the likes. Or, maybe, more migrants. The village had doubled its size in the past six months, and new people kept coming more and more often. The word was spreading. If they kept growing at this pace, Thanka knew, the oases would not be able to provide for all of them. They would have to start trading, or foraging out for recources and food. Thanka stood up and ran down the hill.

"Kam! Honey! We might have visitors!" visitors. The words spread through the camp like a fire through a forest. People knew what this meant, gather up in main square, and Kam, Thanka and one of the humans would go greet them, enough to be able to follow most languages. As the dots along the horizon grew bigger, and people where starting to gather on the main 'square', Thanka looked over her shoulder to see if she could allready reconise what was coming.

Suddenly, the gem dangling from her neck started to glow a bright green, and all her senses sharpened. It was like looking through a spyglass all of the sudden. It startled her, made her loose focus, but then she could clearly makie out what was coming her way. It was a small caravan, pulled by two huge black mammoth. When she saw the driver atop the caravan wielding the giant ropes that steered the mammoth, Thankas greatest fear yet greatest desire was realised.
It was a Tauren.
And she was white.

Kam smiled, but he didn't give Malthar enough credit, the duel could've easily gone his way, Kam thought rubbing his back.

"Eh nice battle." he said thumping the orc on the back, real men didn't pat, they thumped.

For the rest of the morning Kam just helped out where he was needed. As chieftain he didn't have many actual chores but he always helped out anyways. Harvesting crops, finding herbs, whatever. But one of his favourite jobs was teaching. The tribe had been divided up into groups depending on what people desired. Some people just wanted to be in a place where race didn't matter, so they usually just helped maintain the village but in the process strengthened thier connection with the Earth and thier ancestors, Thanka usually lead these groups. Others came to learn the ways of the Ancestral Light and it's healing properties, to become priests and help heal the wounded and sick in the tribe, often these were human priests but there were several tauren as well. Finally there were the vindicators. The elite warriors of the Lightrune tribe that mixed powerful melee strength, skill with the staff and ancestral magic in combat. While the lightrune tribe was passive, they did acknowledge that to survive you must be able to defend oneself. Kam usually lead this group and they spent countless hours honing thier strength.

Today was one of those days, warriors ranging from the biggest tauren to vertically challenged dwarfs trained with him. All bearing the signature holy fire glowing on thier hands during battle, today they were trying to master fighting with your eyes closed (as they had been for the past several weeks), the theory being that if you can manage that then meditation during battle might also be possible. Something that thus far only Kam had achieved.

It was a strange feeling to feel so calm in battle but yet be able to do so much damage, Kam thought as he fought -eyes closed- against another vindicator who snuck peeks in every now and then.

"Kam! Honey! We might have visitors!" Kam turned in surprise, accidentally hitting his opponent square in the face.

"Whoops sorry about that." he said half-chuckling as he distractedly summoned healing spirits.

"Whats that?"
"Visitors, you know big caravan and stuff?"

After that Kam couldn't hear her anymore and he was reasonably sure Thanka couldn't hear him either. It seemed that everyone was listening in and now imagining what kind of beings sought out the Lightrune tribe today.

They didn't have visitors very often so sometimes work was halted to wait for them. Kam stood squinting at the horizon, along with pretty much everyone else in the tribe.

"See anything dad?" Tan asked jumping up and down to see past the bodies.
"That one looks like a goblin." Kam muttered
"Whaaaa?"
Kam turned sheepishly having been caught looking at the clouds

"Nothing." he said and then hoisted Tan unto his shoulders. Tan squealed with delight. Thanka just looked on and smiled.

"You want to get on too hon? There's plenty of room up here." Kam said smiling, but Thanka didn't answer she seemed to be frozen in place, looking at the horizon with an odd expression on his face. Kam was about to say something when

"Look dad that one looks like a gnome rolled up in a ball." Tan shouted looking at the clouds instead
"Hey you're right, and that one looks a huge kodo." They continued like this for a few minutes while Thanka just stared. By then Kam had long forgotten his concern and was racking his brain trying to remember what he was worried about. However the clouds wouldn't let up.

"That one looks like your mother in the morning." Kam shouted
Tan inspected it carefully and nodded in agreement "Sure does."

Kam turned to Thanka again expecting her to joke around too but, she was as still as stone. Kam tapped her on the shoulder.

"Everything all right?"
Thanka turned "No... look." she said pointing, at for the first time Kam actually paid attention to the growing dust cloud. He squinted until he saw two giant beasts, looked like kodos but as they drew closer Kam saw they were more like... the thing Thanka had rode before, what was it called? A maggot? It didn't matter anyways, because by now he could make out the shape on top of the two "maggots" a tauren obviously, but he couldn't make out what it was. But it rang a bell, that was for sure he had seen the same scene looong ago.

Then he realized... when he had first met Thanka, he had stared in disbelief. Tauren didn't come in that colour he thought in awe, and although he had been married to Thanka for years he still couldn't quite come to terms with the fact that it was a white tauren riding the kodo.

"Do you know her?" he asked

After the battle, Malthar had started walking back to his teepee. Upon entering, his wolf, Zeroth, had greeted him happily. Giving his wolf a pat on the head and brushes to the side, he grabbed his two war axes. His war axes were honed to their sharpest to give the best effectiveness in battle and were a symbol of Malthar, of all he stood for and what he went through. He eventually lead Zeroth out side so they could get a good walk along the dunes.
Malthar eventually reached the Vindicators practicing for the day where they would be needed. Malthar recalled the time when Kam had asked him if he wanted to join them. Although Malthar respected his cheif's wishes, he declined. He believed that nothing gave someone more honor than a fight hand-to-hand. Magic just gave an advantage to catch someone off-guard or gain a distance attack.
Seeing Thanka run to Kam and seeing her stare blankly to the horizon, Malthar grew suspicious. Taking Zeroth and walking to the family, Malthar silently just nudged in the group. "Everything all right?" Kam had asked Thanka, who was just starring out into the horizon.
"No...look" Thanka responded pointing to a dust cloud in the horizon. Seeing two large creatures and a Tauren riding with them.
"Do you know her?" Kam had asked.
"hmph....I don't care who it is, she is making my cheif's wife act strangly. Is she friend or foe? I'll defend this tribe with my very life if she's foe. When we talk to her, I insist upon being with you two, you might be able to fight well but if the time calls for it, I will fight alongside you...However, the cheif's right. Who is she?" Malthar was ready for any decision that came out, he was one of the most loyal and dedicated people when it came to the Lightrune Tribe.

"You want to play again?" Sienare asked Mr. Cook.

"Of course! You owe me a game for humiliating me yesterday," Jo replied.

"Okay," Sapphire said peering over to where everyone was crowding. "I'll bring Tan over there and see what's up. Something's happening over there. Come on, Tanito, let's go."

"My name is TAN, not Tanito. Where'd you get that from?" Tan argued.

("It's derived from Spanish," Sapphire giggled. (Can they even speak Spanish? Hence why this is in parenthesis))

As Sapphire and Tan walked over to what Kam and Thanka were staring across the field at, Sienare and Jo got themselves busy. "You ready for another twisting defeat, Mr. Cook?" Sienare asked Jo.

"Hah! You'll be amazed at what new strategy I've planned while making today's meal." Jo confidently answered.

The board on the table lit itself up as pieces were being made and the orbs of light levitated off of the board.

"I'll let you have the honors of going first," Sienare said happily.

---

Meanwhile, Sapphire and Tan walked over to where Thanka was. "?" Sapphire was confused. Thanka, almost hypnotized, was gazing at the cloud of dust that appeared outside of the tribal grounds.

"No... Look!" Thanka said.

"Sapphire, what is it?" Tan asked. "The dust is too thick, it's hard to see what's inside."

"I'm not so sure about that, Tanito." Sapphire quickly replied.

"Uh... What did I just say?" Tan argued again.

OOC: super-fun to read these three stories blend together in the ends, that was some nice writing.

The thing was now close enough for the woman atop to be reconzed. "Do you know her?" Kam asked. Thanka sqeezed her eyes. "I... I think i do..." Kam looked at her questioningly. "I think its... Thatha!? Yes, i think she is! Thanka said in joy. The big caravan was allmost at the edge of the oases now, and started to slow its pace. Thanka started running towards the caravan, and the girl that was on top of it jumped off to do the same "Thanks!" "Thati!" The two shared a big, long hug. "Its been so long!" Thanka said, little tears of joy in her eyes. "Way too long..." Thatha replied.

Kam was still standing where he was, flabbergasted. Malthar let out a sigh of relief; whover she was, she wasnt hostile. Tan was just wobbling around impatiently, wanting to know who the stranger was. It didnt take him long to struggle free and run down the hill towards his mother and this other tauren, that looked amazingly simulair to Thanka, But clother verry diffrent, diffrent hairstyle, and a little bit younger. Tan impatiently pulled his mothers skirt. "Who is that lady, mom? aww c'mone! tell us allready!" Malthar, Sienare and Kam had joined Tan by now. Thanka and Thatha finally let go of eachother. "Tan, i want you to meet your auntie, Thatha." Thanka looked over at Kam. "Kam, come meet my little sister!" She introduced everyone to oneanother.

"So this is the great Kam Lighrune of the Lighrune Tribe we heard of? They say you can splice a mans head in two by just thinking about it." Thatha giggled. "Anyway, Thanka, i'm so glad i found you. I didnt come here for no reason. In the caravan behind me, are Buuma and his wife." Thanka was startled. "You bright him here?" "yes, he is our chieftain now, Thanka. But our village was overrun by frost trolls. A lot of us died, Thanka, and whomever is left are now scattered among winterspring in small tribes, hiding, or fled to mulgore. Buuma and most other men capable of fighting fought untill the last moment, most of them found death, including dad. but Buujma is so badly wounded, and we had no capable healers to fully heal him in this state. The last thing he asked for, no, begged for, before he blacked out, was to be brought here. Having met Kam personally, and having heard the stories. He was sure this was the place to be healed."

OOC: [i]Ahaha... this is unexpected. :/

About Tan, there isn't much to do with him YET. I do have plan for him though.

Oh, right. And, Sapphire was the one who went there, not Sienare.[/b]

===============================================

"Ack!" Sapphire said quietly. "Am I seeing doubles?"

Thanka and the one she called "Thatha" looked somewhat alike. Of course, no one could mistake Thanka... maybe.

"An aunt, huh..." Tan said to himself.

"Hey, Thanka." Sapphire asked her.

"?" Thanka looked at Sapphire.

"Who is Buuma?"

OOC: wonderful plot twist erth, wonderful :D

Kam stared flabbergasted, her sister? And he had wanted to practice some his new moves again, using them on an actual person was much more impressive than a pig. And then of course Thanka would be ever so grateful and they could have a nice drawn out romantic scene, but nooooooo....

She had to be a sister, and not even a wicked one, just a normal, nice looking sister, what's the fun in that? Speaking of looks, they looked surprisingly similar, Kam thought as he looked the two of them over. It may have simply been that he actually knew Thanka, but Kam thought that she looked much better. Thatha lacked the kind blue eyes, her mane was much less attractive and her curves were nothing compared to Thankas, in his eyes. How boring. And as it is with boring things, Kam sorta zoned out.

Blahdeh blahdeh blah blah blah Thatha went on talking

blah blah blah "In the caravan behind me, are Buuma and his wife." blah blah

Wait, Kam jerked back into reality. Bumma? Maybe he could show off anyways he thought, aldready gathering energy for the fight to come. But Thatha just kept on going.

blah blah blah blah blah "The last thing he asked for, no, begged for, before he blacked out, was to be brought here. Having met Kam personally, and having heard the stories. He was sure this was the place to be healed."

Kam was again brought crashing back to the world, heal Bumma? Ha ha, no... the loser could die for all he cared. But of course Thanka's eyes were filling with tears, and she would get all upset if he didn't do it, and then they would have a big scene with all the crying and the shouting and everything Kam didn't need. Rolling his eyes inwardly Kam opened his mouth to speak when Sapphire asked

"Who is Buuma?"

Kam could think of a great many adjectives for Bumma, all of them not very flattering, but Thanka answered first.

"Let's just say, Bumma is someone from my old village. So Kam?" Thanka asked, turning to him. How could he say no to Thanka? He hated himself for it allright but Kam just couldn't say no to her.

"Sure, lets see..."
"He's in the back of the caravan." Thatha said turning, Kam stared closely at her rear, yep Thanka had a much better arse.

"Here." she said, drawing aside some fur curtains to reveal a white tauren male, badly wounded, with gashes covering his body and fur matted with blood. Another snowhoof female was bent over him cleaning his wounds. Presumably Bumma's second choice for wife, and for good reason Thanka was better than her too. But unfortunately he couldn't compare more now, he had some healing to do.

"Malthar!"
"Yes chieftain?"
"Carry Bumma to the healing tent please."
"Of course." the orc said and climbed into the tent. Kam trusted him completely, the orc was strong and as gentle as a lamb. In the meantime he had more orders to bark.
"Halam!" he called, and a human dressed in a long beige robe stepped forward.
"Get your best healers ready, and the needed herbs of course." Halam was an excellent healer and one of the first of the tribe. Now he often taught priests the ways of the Ancestral Light. As he was thinking this, the human had aldready dashed off.

Kam pulled Thanka aside
"You know Halam could do this easily."
Thanka smiled "Yes, I know, but I want youto."
Kam sighed, just as Malthar came back
"Chieftain, Bumma is in the tent and some priests are tending to him."
"Good, I'll be right there."
