ok, now before anyone starts yelling hoax, this is not a joke...FoK has been delayed. Yeah I know how many of you are waiting for this, but you will have to wait a lil longer. apparently there was a mixup and the voices for the original story plan were recorded, but the maps are based on a very different script. luckily, we can fit some dialog in, but some new voices will have to be done. but hopefully the voice actors will work hard to decrease our wait time. myself on the other hand, will keep working and I will add some new stuff i didnt have time for before. but always remember, this delay is only to make sure we release a bug-free campaign.

Personally I'd rather you delay this thing until February rather than release it in RoK's state! I'm counting on you guys to make THIS one not suck :D

Don't worry, we'll be able to beta test it without voices, so we now have a longer beta period I guess.

Honestly, if it is a good campaign, go ahead and release it w/o the voices, and then upload it with the voices at a later date. I've said before that I really don't get much extra from a map just because it has voices, but rather if it is fun to play and has a good storyline. If there are other things that need work, don't hesistate to delay it as long as needed. Take the Blizzard example of delaying for a couple years to put out a good product (well not that drastic of a downtime).

Allow me to add one note. Don't add any repetitive phrases such as "slay them all in the name of the orcs," and I should be happy.

Well, I disagree completely with Trav, voices and musics are ESSENTIAL to the feel of a game, along with gameplay and visual effects. You can't have 1 without another and expect to be all that great. Fury of Kadesh is litterally the last bastion of hope for Wc3campaigns: If this bombs, so will the site! The Mods here need to put in every single little scrap of "Cool" into this Mutha Fugga in the hopes of creating a campaign worthy of being called the best.

I am severly worried, though, that it took until NOW for anyone to realize that the dialog was wrong. I mean, didn't ANYONE on the team play the campaign until just now? I don't think I would ever miss something like that. Things are starting to look sour, so SHAPE UP already people! I do NOT want to download another crap camp!

I will get FoK, but if it sucks I will go ballistic!

PS: FoK similarities with War2's story are WAY to much of a coincidence. Especially with the main characters name being a bit Gul'dan/Ner'Zhul rip. You guys had better at least make this good, but unless your story is quite a bit different from Gul'dan's you are gonna get flamed by 95% of the community.

I'm just pointing out the facts. I want this campaign to be worthy of my time.

Good point, I agree completely with Insan. If you guys are going to release a crap campaign that basicly takes segments from other games, well then we are all wasting our time here. Try to make this campaign good, or else (like said before) this community will BOMB!

That's pretty pathetic if no one on the team actually ever played one of their maps.

I guess that explains why Rise of Krill had tons of bugs.

Man dang you have never played any old games or even a gameboy game. Yes music is really important but voices do not make or break a game. A movie yes not a game.
I do say though that skull is doing right by having it wait till it is completely done.
You said it amazes you that no one noticed the vioce problem till now. I would think you being a person that made a movie map you would understand. Never watched it but cinematics must be easier than I thought.
I am a programmer, on top of many other things, and when you are in developement of a project usually you don't notice the stupid things you did till you are almost done. You work on the core and then work your way out. Then you go back over it all.
Good Luck in fixing the campaign Guys.
Thanks
