What is the definition of a cutom unit?

Before I take the time on my slow computer to change over 90 units, I figured I'd ask what is considered a custom unit? Is it anything that has been modified in any way, or is it just things listed at the bottom of the unit list in world editor marked "custom units?" I assume that latter because people often complain about running out of them.

Custom Units are only the ones in the custom units folder.

A custom unit is one that is, as the others said, in the custom units folder. A custom item *I think* does count towards your custom unit cap.

hmmm. but you can change an item in its own folder and it wont make a lick of difference, jah?

Oh, i didnt know you were wondering about the cap. Every custom anything in the unit editor counts to the cap. And changing pre-made items doesnt matter, they just continue taking up the same space they did.

Ok, heres a deeper question. If I delete a premade unit, does that mean I can have one more custom. In other words, is there just a fixed number of units you can have in the game, not a fixed number of customs?

You cant delete pre-made units.

I guess not, I was wrong. I can delete a unit from the unit editor list by hitting del, but I cant bring it back. It is still in the Unit Palate however so it must not be deleted.
