Positive auras turned negative?

I have seen it done in many games. Auras that slow down enemies, reduce armor, life regeneration, etc. I assumed that they were based off of positive auras like Devotion aura and then the bonus stats were turned negative. However, world editor doesn't seem to like negative values in the buff spots . How can I make a negative aura?

Tim.
Click on the field where you input the value, hold shift, and hit Enter. Now type a negative value and hit OK. Done.

Although Shift-click does allow you do to some nifty things (it overides the vast majority of 'hardcoded' limits in the object editor) remember that it can cause instabilty/crashes if you overide certain values, so always be careful with *extreme* changes.

Which reminds me of the time i made a Dark Summoning spell with an AOE of 999999 (for kicks).

My computer REBOOTED the moment i used it.

Good times.

But it also has some unstable yet useful uses. Such as Berserk, set the bonus damage taken as a negative and it makes the unit immune to all damage, comes in real handy for such stuff as Stone Skin, or armor or whatever.

Negative HP results in -1 hp (all values = -1) which looks quite silly, but odd :) Just a side note, don't mind me.

Negative Values for Auras, just imagine........
...Aura of Corruption (-1*level of aura) to enemy unit's armor !
...Aura of Frost, slows down enemies
...Aura of Fear(-7%*level of aura) to enemy unit's damage
...Aura of Doom, 'Degenerates Unit' *cough*Unhloy Aura*cough*
...Aura of the Manavoid '-Manadegeneration to enemy units

Don't use negative hp regeneration. If it 'kills' anything, the 'killed' unit becomes unkillable.

How are dead units unkillable?

Umm, Blood Mage's Phoenix has negative hp regeneration... but then again, it really is kinda unkillable.

Well, I use it in a fair few instances, so I'd like to be aware of any problems that it may create.

There were ' marks around it. Its not dead, but the game thinks it is. It can still attack stuff, etc., and won't die.

Ha, Bloodmage's phoenix is unkillable because it has a reborn spell on it.
But if you kill it with weapon(don't let it be reborn, by destroying the fire egg)it is finally dead.
