It lacks details. Especially on his arms and his face, not to mention his feet. But I can tell ye, it's got potential. (The thumbnail looks amazing, looks very pro) Edit: I should mention that there's a great sense of atmosphere. And that you're on your way to have some great skills. |

The bent arm looking dislocated.. Other than that not a bad start. |

Try not to use burn for the shadows. And on flesh... use a cool color like blue in the shadows... it'll make them look more natural... but... at a very low opacity. icbm1987 |

i have never - ever - seen this much smudge in my entire life. Kick the habit; brushes are the way, not smudging. Learning to paint using smudge is a verry wrong foundation. Better first learn to paint with brushes and eyedropper, and then you *could* use the smudge, but you want need it anymore. |

Travinkel: Yeah, it lacks details. But I wanted to do them later anyway. Tim.: I think it's because the, uhhmm... chest I think (dunno exactly) is too tight. Gonna fix it. icbm1987: I did that with the blue color and stuff, but then smudged it. erwtenpeller: well yeah... I think almost all of it is smudged... hehe... well, I'm pretty newb to drawing on the comp and especially with PSP. And what's eyedropper? I don't think I have it in Paint Shop Pro Studio... olofmoleman: thx all of you: thanks. |

i dont know PSP, but i'm sure it has a tool simulair to photoshop's eyedropper. In photoshop, when you have the brush tool selected, you can press alt to turn it into the eyedropper and select a color from your canvas. Combined with medium opticity in your brushes, its a great way to paint digitally. In fact, i believe it is the most common way too. to olof: smudge simply looks amateur, thus i do not feel it is a good image. The base is great, the pose is cool, but the execution with smudge just ruins the whole thing. |
