Hi, I'm working on an RPG (that's gonna be pretty big), which I am not going to post about now, but withint a few days I will have a full thread and hopefully a website on it. For now I will say the following though: it will feature 2 modes: Open (12 player) or Story (4 player), puzzle-based tasks and lots of NPC interation. I have missed off that list another important element that will make the game twice as fun... mini-games! I have been thinking of lots of mini-games to implement, but of course, what I find fun may be boring to others. So I got into thinking why not let the people who are going to play it design the mini-game? So here we are. What I'm looking for is solid ideas for an RPG mini-game. Here are some examples of games I am considering: -Fishing: A classic mini-game! I'm working a system using different levels of rods, skill and fish! -Mining: Different places yeild different ores, fossils and even ancient relics (which would be powerful items) -Trading Game: Much like a Zelda game, you could get an item that someone else is after, that you must deliver in order to get the next item etc. At the end you get some helpful prize. If anyone has any ideas that they would like to see included in the map, please just state your idea and any information that would help me in creating the system (I am capable of most things trigger-based). Full credit will be given. Also, it may seem like a strange thing to ask, especially since I have not posted any info related to the RPG (albeit that will be up soon :)) but I though that it would be nice to see a map with lots of community input. It's also useful for those who have good ideas, but are unable to create the system, or have not got a map where the mini-game would fit in. Thanks for reading anyways. |
