Where do we get 3dsmax??And is it free?

You need 3d studio max 5. They no longer distribute this, nor is it free. There are obviously other means to acquire it, but we neither suppor nor discuss such things.

I'm sure you can still find it on ebay.

Wait...so you can't use it with newer versions? :O That sucks...I only have 6...

Yes, only 4 and 5. For anything else try to use the Dex code from our modelling section.

The reason it only works on versions 4 and 5 is for 3D Max 6 and above the architecture of the program is completely changed meaning the plugins will no longer work. Obviously blizzard isn't going to put in the effort of making it again for 6+ so we have to stick to 4 and 5

if 3dsMax 4 is too old it is an abandonware, and it is free.
Someone may make sure.
