Watch out for this dude if you wander in the mountains! His bloodlust is the only thing that keeps him alive. Anyway, almost all the smudge (look at the WIP in the concept art forum) has been killed. There may be stuff to improve but I'm happy with it for now. |

Like I said before, the elbow is funky. Attached. |

i think the contrast of the rock he is standing on to the background may be increased a little bit to suggest bigger deapth. Good to see you are quitting smudge, we always knew you could do it. Longer brush strokes might do this piece good, it feels like its applied with a spungue reather then paint. |

the compositional planes (foreground, background, etc) are way too "broken", there's no link between them. It's like a collage. You shouldn't paint them on different layers...well, actualy you...have to paint them on different layers but when you paint the background, on the next layer you should paint over the area of the background, so you'll get a good blending. I'll attach a sample later. |

the scaling of the head, the foot on the right, and elbow i do not like, it looks decent but i hate the name 'one day at the mountains' sounds like the title of a childrens book, but it's some massacre of some being.. one day at the mountains is all too pleasent.. |
