Ohhh a 40k map for war3. Sounds good already! As long as you aren't making one of those sh#t madnesses that they passed off as 40k maps for sc, i think the map will be good. |

Guest | Great map! I used to play the game (wood elf) but don't anymore. Altough i still like the whole fantasy universe. I made a weaker map, but i think you should change the items in your map to the items of the warhammer world. And make the fleshhounds smaller, chaos warriors would be nicer with dark footmen, instead of chaos grunts. Here's the items i made for my map: Blade of Enscorcelled Iron: +3 dam Text: Originally carried by the Dark Elf, Kouran, Captain of the Black Guards of Naggaroth, bodyguards of the Witch King Himself. ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNSteelMelee.blp Daemon Staff: Item Dispel Text: This deceptively childish looking puppet was originally part of a Tzeentchian wizard's totem, wrenched from his dead fingers by Azhag the Slaughter after the battle of Grim Spire. ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNShadowPact.blp Painbringer: +9 dam Text: Painbringer is the black sword of Melkhior, said to be made from the magical life force of insane men. Text: The mark of Neferatas dominion over the City of Vampires. Her diadem is a golden snake which rests over her cruel and beautiful face, and carries a huge ruby in its jaw. The whispering voices of the Crown provide all the knowledge required to cast spells. Unfortunately, having voices in your head can get pretty confusing at times.... ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNCirclet.blp Pelt of Charandis: Armor +4, item life regen. Text: When Korhil slew the great lion Charandis, he afterwards skinned it and wore its proudly upon his shoulders. This staff was once owned by the lichemaster Heinrich Kemmler. ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNWandSkull.blp Phew! My fingertips are burning!!! Well, the stats are based on how they affect a warhammer game, not what the items description says it does. (Example:Helm of Many Eyes make the wearer strike first = agility bonus) HOPE they're useful too you, also remember to give them the right image... phuck it, i'll Copy paste that too, i'm bored ...You might have to adjust the item abilities (dam, stat bonus etc) to fit your map. Also, Dark Elves can't get the biggest army due to, that they don't meet the requrements (need chaos encampment to build their largest structure). And they need more units (small army = 3 warriors, medium 5 warriors) (NOTE: Didn't see you also got witch elves, black guards, harpies at the other spawn sites - Dark Elfs are fine, just remember to point out the spawn sites for two reasons: 1) so players don't build on them 2) so players know where their troops will arive. As when i tried the dark elves, i thought i just got 3 warriors because i didn't know about the other spawn sites! Remember, i'm doing this because i like your map and warhammer. Just want to improve it, if i'm capable of doing so! :D |

Guest | Also - Wild orc = Savage Orc (right?) When i played the game there were no Wild Orcs! But they seem alot similar to Savage Orcs, and my cousin - who still plays it (and i play it with him, the few times we meet eachother at familiy reunions etc.) also have savage orcs. |

Guest | I'm glad i can help you! Also, you need remove some of the towers in your map. Expecially dark elfes, because they're standing on a wall, where units cant surround it - that means that only 2-4 units can hit it at a time, and you need to destroy one tower to get to the next - if you know what i mean. Besides, players can build towers if they want - so let towers be a strategic element in your map as well. |
