Hey, I was wondering. If I attach the same special effect (i.e. night elf burning large) to, let us say, 100 units (then I destroy those special effects when they die), would it be laggy (given that they'd be most likely all on the same screen, all with special effects attached to the torso etc.)? Or would wc3 be able to handle the burden of having to display the special effects together with those units (as if they were under the effect of an aura)? Also, has anyone here done its like before? I would appreciate your insights. |

it depends on ths sfx, it its the blue aura ring, chances are it wont matter much, if ur attaching 5 fires per unit then yes, it will lag |

Aww, just test it, we can't guess how much your computer can handle, and we also don't know by heart how many polies and emitters that fire model has, so we really can't give youa reassuring estimation. |

Ah well. Thanks. I'm just worried that the PCs of other people might not ba able to handle it. Just have to test it i guess. |
