Sorry to be such a bother, but I have another query. In my latest animation, when a weapon is stuck into the ground I would like to have some dust particles come up from where it landed. Also when the weapon is picked back up I would like some dust to fall from the tip of the weapon. How would I go about doing this? Sidenote: I have not been able to find a decent particle emitter tutorial anywhere, maybe it would be a good idea for anyone who really understands them to make a tutorial? Im sure it would be much appreciated. I'm using 3DsMax 5 of course. |

for this you'll have to add a particle emitter and bind it to a gravity space warp...not sure how much of this you understand...eh, I think I'll make a video tutorial about this. |

I'm looking forward to it. |

Just bumping the thread, just in case anyone was willing to help me with this, I'd really like to finish up this one animation so I can do others. |

no need for double post, so stop doing that in the future. I'm realy busy, you know; making a short tutorial about this is among the last of my priorities. |

Sorry, my mistake. |

Try playing around with the emitters, and read the art tools. The key attribute is speed. +ive speed makes particles rise into the air. Try a negative speed value and fiddle with cone and spurt. |
